Victas and others with that engine should be avoided completely, the tiny piece of foam acting as an air filter does not stop dust. Have had many thru my shop that are "dusted", grey oil (aluminium) and no or low compression.
Thanks for the input. One thing I notice is that it has low compression. Your comment makes me curious, and I will check the air filter tomorrow as I haven't seen it. Cheers! VARIETECH
@oneeyedphotographer Thanks for watching. I forgot to mention, but I agree that the air filter foam is too porous. It can easily pass tiny dust which could damage the piston. Best to cut your own filter foam sheet to size.
Easy fix with leak and the throttle cable repair 😊
I had to cut my pipe at the tank end to loosen it.
I'll do the same thing when its too tight.
