@@samueljesse2179 he is already affected with the increase of the many other costs and then the dilemma of not wanting to price himself out of market and charge the extra to his faithful customer rather coming out of his own shirking button line. I owned something like this (German high end pastry, cafe and fine food imports. it was so incredibly difficult with the constant raising of prices, such as electricity, insurance, legal fees, accountants, city permits, ingredients, shut downs, then there are god awful other factors, weather with my former business the Main Street was shut down for road and pipe work (not that you saw the workers much more like barely ever lazy unionized over paid princes) over 2 years every day pulling in not even enough to pay squat, just more debt, huge part gauging city property tax commercial taxes higher fees in absolutely every bill then residential(52,000 grand a year 2 small street level shops, 2 tiny ones above) no help from corrupted city of Oakville Ontario Canada while deliberately rotting us out of house and business, pay check to make way for multimillion $condos. So now we loss our independent business’s one after another for greed, corruption and simply pathological narcissists. Then there are the Idiots thinking it’s cool to support Starbucks instead of independent now there only this over priced fake garbage available. A lemon cake preserved with multiple’s of chemical value of ingredients at most 15 cents for 5 dollar’s a slice. But hey got to keep the corporation billions flowing with brainwashed ignorant ego driven customers. Real people with independent business give more, care more, offer unique in most cases way better products, better service for they are still regular folks loving what they are doing and more so loving there customers. Sorry this brings up angry hurt feelings. One thing is for sure I NEVER drop a dime of my hard earned money in a chain. If I am going to treat myself to eat, drink out, only independents, will drive far and wide if need be or forgo before pulling up to a McDonald’s or any chain. With plandempic is was part of there plan to kill independent owners for more control. Same as cash they want to switch to control and enslave. The Schwab elites clan. I am a small business 'company doctor'. I have a Ph.D, in business management. I've owned and operated many small businesses over the years. I was employed by a management investment company in this role prior to opening my own broking and corporate services company. I know there are 3 B's in the word Business. 1. Brains. One doesn't have to be a university professor, but one has to be shrewd and to know the market. 2. Balls. You have to be able to take the hard knocks. There are so very many along the way. There is no use crying about it or feeling sorry for oneself. Business is what it is. 3. Bullshit. By this I mean you need to understand when others try to feed you BS and you need to be able to sell yourself, your service or product, and your company. Having 2 out of 3 won't cut the mustard. This guy needs to grow a pair and dive back into the fight. It's the only way. Don't think I'm being mean. Doctors of any description need to tell it as it is. And don't think I don't know what I'm talking about because you'd be making a big mistake.

I do feel for these small businesses. It's the perfect storm of prices going up for everyone - fuel, electricity, fruit & veg and all other groceries. You can easily make dinner for 2 for the price of a coffee and bacon roll. Eating out is rapidly becoming an unaffordable luxury.

As a small café business owner, I feel your pain mate. 2 years of lockdown and next to no income, went through all my reserve savings just to keep afloat. Now working 60 plus hours a week just to keep what little profit there is. My fantastic staff take home more a week than I do and yet I carry all the risk and am on the brink of losing everything. Surely subsidies of fuel, power costs would have been a smarter way to go than slugging small business. It used to be if you got in and had a go you could make it work and achieve something over time. The fact of the matter is most of the knob jockeys in politics nowadays wouldn’t have a clue how to run a business successfully as they haven’t got the skills required. They don't need to subsidise energy............ they just need to build a bunch of coal power plants and stop making ridiculous laws that say we cant use the energy we have in the ground for free. This lowering of electricity by a factor of 5 would be more than enough. But the lie that the planet will die unless we deindustrialise the west has taken root in the heart of the wicked, and so now they love the lie of climate zealotry and so now all energy dependant things go up in price. EVERYTHING RUNS ON ELECTRICTY AND FOSSIL FEULS. Even food needs fertiliser which required coal. You cant make fertiliser without fossil fuels because its not simply heat you need, its atmospheric pressure and the carbon. The green communists have won, they destroyed capitalism through taxation using CO2 as a weapon. CO2 is plant nutrition and does not cause global warming. Its all a lie. But we live an a time where people love lies and have become lovers of lies.

The 5.2%increase will be applied to everything else he buys dipshit. He's already paying above award wages just to get staff and his margins on purchases will be additionally hit with the pay increase enforced by his suppliers on the goods they sell. Stick to your public service bubble and watch small business die.

Also I am a Christian, i saw an LGBT flag behind him, the reason we are in this corrupt mess as a nation is because people have chosen immorality and so now have immoral people ruling over them. Only Christian nations get freedom and liberty. Liberty and freedom only exist in western Christian nations. Never in the history of mankind has a non Christian nation ever gotten freedom and liberty. Liberty and freedom come from the bible, and those Christian nations influence even non Christian nations to follow them to some degree. Every single nation on the planet that had liberty and freedom, and was Christian, and stopped following the god of the bible and is now losing their freedom and liberty. Its like people cant work it out. If you stop following the god of the bible the liberty and freedom disappear. 1 of the main reasons that people stop following the god of the bible is because they love their sexual perversions. This man is a prime example of wanting freedom and liberty but yet he choses immorality and then cant work out why the government is crushing him economically. He caused this problem on himself. Wicked people get wicked rulers and slavery. Everyone who sins is wicked. Those who have faith and salvation have a new man which has no sin, even though they still have the flesh which still has sin.
Sending money is just an attempt to address the symptom, you need to address the cause. Are you going to send money to every single business, are you going to send money to every single person who has an electricity bill, are you going to send money to every single person who is fired. Are you going to send money to every single person in the nation. And all these people even if they receive money will still continue to turn their back on the god of the bible allowing the very corruption that is destroying them economically to spread. Why give money to people for free who are destroying themselves and the nation because they chose immorality(its counter productive). People have to hit rock bottom due to their wickedness before they either die or change to be moral.

You need to judge the cause of a man before giving a blessing. sometimes in life people cause their own misery, but are unable to see how their choices in life lead to their own destruction. In this case, the choices of the majority are burning the nation to the ground with the judgment of god. Even his store is openly promoting evil. Next they come for the kids, his flag defends that. God will not bless him, god is angry for what is about to happen to the children in the coming decades.

I live in Canada and the same items I always bought have more than doubled in price in a year, chicken, fish, beef, vegetables, and so on. a crappy mc Donald's burger trio is 15$, thank god I never eat this, so imagine borderline acceptable food is way more expensive than that.

The cost of living in this country is being driven upwards because the entire burden of funding the running costs of this country are falling entirely upon the shoulders of its citizens. Meanwhile, many big businesses pay nothing in tax and, in some cases, even receive handouts from us the taxpayers. Both sides of politics are responsible for this situation.
“The major issue of inflation since the pandemic is that the price of non-discretionary items - ie those things you can’t avoid paying, like food, utilities, petrol, insurance - has risen faster than for discretionary items.
In the past year the prices of non-discretionary items rose 6.6%”.
    (The Guardian newspaper)
The one factor all of these discretionary items have in common is that their rise in price is driven by the government’s tax structure and its ever growing demand for revenue to fund its responsibilities. For example, a rise in the fuel excise tax makes the task of transporting goods around the nation more expensive and so supermarket prices are, in turn, forced to rise. We then experience this as a growing cost of living burden. If big business paid its fair share of taxes then the burden placed upon you and I would not be so great and taxes like the fuel excise, for example, would be much lower.
Despite the enormous wealth in our soils there is a section of the economy that contributes nothing to the economic wellbeing of Australia because they pay nothing in tax. Just to give one among many examples, ".... Yet, US oil major Exxon has sold a staggering $56 billion worth of oil and gas - drilled from seabeds around Australia - and paid not one red cent in tax on that income in six years.”
    (Michael West - Australia’s top 40 tax-dodgers for 2021)
The scale of tax avoidance by big business is truly astonishing as can be seen below.
Total tax collected from individuals by all levels of government in 2018-2019 was $559 833 million or $559.833 billion as shown by the ABS on their website under “Taxation Revenue - Australia”.
Total tax payable by Corporate Australia in 2018-2019 was $56,137,697,940 or $56.138 billion as can be found on the ABS website under “Corporate Tax Transparency”.
That means we citizens contributed $559.8 billion dollars in taxes while big business was liable for only $56.1 billion dollars. This represents, 56.1/(559.8 + 56.1) x 100% = 9.1% of the total tax expected to be collected by the federal government was paid by big business.
According to the ABS the total income of big business in this period was $2,140,118,795,991 or $2140.1 billion or $2.1401 trillion and so in being liable for only $56.1 billion in tax they will only have to pay a total of 2.62% of their income.
If big business paid the same rate of tax as the rest of us, say 30%, then the total tax take from big business in 2018-19 should amount to $642 billion. Even if they were only expected to pay 20% of their income in tax then they would be liable for $428 billion. Taking it one step further, let’s say they only paid 15% of their income in tax, then they would owe the Australian people $321 billion for the 2018-19 financial year.
Such a sum would make an enormous difference towards reducing the taxation burden on workers and small businesses and hence significantly reducing the cost of living pressures we are currently experiencing. With a lower cost of living we could spend more in our local communities and thus support job growth and wages.
What about our schools, universities, hospitals, aged care, child care, defence and other expenses we must meet? No wonder the cost of living has gotten out of hand in this country as the tax burden of big business has been transferred onto the shoulders of the community and so crushing the economic life out of it.
This massive theft of wealth has been going on for decades and is a crime.

So basically by shutting down 'good and services'(production) you get inflation even without money printing. And printing money straight up causes inflation. When you do both these things at the same time both events cause inflation which is referred to as stagflation. Stagflation is when these 2 different things both cause inflation to increase.
Combine this with the shutting down of fossil fuels and you get a surge in the price of electricity which means inflation for all things. These 3 things drive inflation. Its a plan folks.

Really mate, 80% of businesses fail in the first year, Plumbers, Sparkies and Chippies aren't wagies, Restaurant owners are usually chefs who rent half a million or more dollar a year restaurants on Average and still have to turn a profit, people are doing it hard and the real rich picks who you think own most businesses aren't that many, they mostly own the real estate these businesses are built on, they don't produce or contribute to society and they get subsidies from the government and harbour in big donations to the major parties for preferential treatment, not to mention that they don't pay taxes because on a balance sheet they make no income but somehow own and control everything, working class and employee are not synonymous, people who own businesses work just as hard if not harder, they are also responsible for the financial security of their employees and if their business fails so does the job security of their employees and if anything as a wagie myself it's better to be employed than unemployed

The problem with this going on is that the Polly's who get everything paid for them and then complain that their 200k a year and more is not enough. Small business is the backbone of our society. Without them, the country goes down the gurgler. The polly's and other overpaid and underworked public servants could and should support these people. With the 15 people employed in his eatery, where are they going to go? WE NEED PEOPLE IN POWER WHO CARE NOT ONLY ABOUT THE WORKERS BUT THE ONE"S WHO OWN AND RUN THESE SMALL BUSINESSES. tThey quite often work in excess of 60~70 hours a week for not much more than the worker gets per week. Our local bakery which is staffed by several very friendly and polite female staff. They have just had to raise the price of a loaf of bread again. We don't care. The super next door sells for half the price but the bakery bready is more than twice the product. It's always fresh and not verging on stale when you buy it. I made a pledge that if I ever won a substantial amount of money, I would personally give each and evry one a stipend to say thank you. The same goes for the wondeful friendly staf who drop off item to my elderly mother without asking for any extra payments. There are wonderful and dedicated people who want to work and are people people, not money hungry wallet gougers.

The reason is because if the government bankrupts the man in the nuclear family unit, then in the day of tyranny there will be no strength to resist the evil as all the men were taken care of ahead of time using economic warfare. The women went along with it for cash and prises, destroying their civilisation. All this funded by marxism which funds feminism. It was never about feminism, it was always about marxism which funds feminism. They use the woman to bankrupt the man in exchange for money and the removal of a male figure from the family unit, so that the state can get the kids, and so that the state can remove the strength of any male that might resist evil by the government on any issue.

To suggest that the minimum wage increase is breaking businesses is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.
Almost no one is on minimum wage.
Wages have stagnated for a long time.
I’m earning the same money I was nearly 15 years ago, yet the prices of everything have more than doubled. To focus on a small business in FIVE DOCK where there are a lot of affluent people, and the rent is VERY HIGH is silly. I used to live there, and it was ALWAYS a cut throat section on Great North Road where this shop is. It’s the main drag and shops that didn’t capture the locals money would go under. Also, a lot of those shops are very expensive. Talking about coffee shops where a bacon and egg roll is $15. I don’t wish any business failure, but hey I can’t just open a place up because the entry costs are so high. Boo hoo. No one cares about that do they.
