This is the best newer creative genius I have seen in a while. This is taking things beyond the instruments that Laurie Anderson and a few others have invented. Love seeing creativity being pushed. Nice to see another person with both an AK and A4. Formidable pair. Well done Elektron.
I saw a crazy new act outta Providence called The Genitals Of Ken, where the musician ONLY uses the "bzzzt" of an unplugged 1/4 cord, and one delay loop pedal.... and I couldn't believe the sounds he was getting. He controls the "pitch" using the speed of the delay.... but he's making melodies, rhythms, etc. At first, it seems impossible, like he's cheating, but then you see he isn't! (sometimes he has a gal "vocalist" who simply imitates whatever sounds he's making). But they don't have any social media presence, sadly.
A deleted scene from Saw. The musical torture device. The release key is soldered to an ARP 2500 motherboard at the bottom of a pirhana tank. Elektron have gone dark.
Saw this guy live last year in Austin with all of his fabricated equipment before he got into Elektron. It was grimey, gritty, and metallic. The sounds he makes are one thing but to watch him do it completes the industrial feel. Highly recommended!
This this the kinda stuff that makes you wonder “wtf am I doing with my life?” Lol one of the most unique things ive seen...maybe I’ll hook up a treadmill to my aK....
@Daniel DeMayo Yea, it reminds me once again that most humans are not innovators or actual creators. We tend to copy what we've seen or heard, and, at best, put our own little flavor on it. The funny thing is what he's doing is mechanically and electronically are quite simple. The music is simple as well, right? Also, if he presented these instruments and couldn't perform on them as he did, nobody would really care. It's the entire package (the idea, the creation, the utilization, and the presentation) that makes it genius.
saw him live a couple years ago in PDX. great set. if you can catch him live don't miss it! ace dude too. was his birthday that night. bought a him a beer. wished him well.
It's awesome to see someome going their own way entirely. Amazing creativity and vision, nevermind the know-how to make it a reality. As soon as Covid-Quarantine is over, I'm gonna go to next show he plays close to me.
I came across Author & Punisher a few days ago and my God this guy is absolutely amazing, he still blows me away. Definitely looking forward to seeing him live. Much love for A&P
Great innovative way to create live music. Like to see him playing techno or dark core on that, this could end as a fitness workout, but for his style i say it again it's great.
Caught a stream of him at Moogfest. Very interesting and cool. Good to challenge the assumption that we know all there is to know about human-machine interfaces. I think a microcosm of this is how programmers and gamers are all going back to mechanical keyboards.
LOOOOL WHAT THE FUCK. Sorry man but i absolutely cannot take this seriously. Just imagine this guy building an iron man suit in a dungeon somewhere so he can make techno with it.
Try to fathom what music this dude, Mike Patton and Imogen Heap would collaboratively create...That dynamic would be so utterly boundless that it could be damn near apocalyptic! I can only scratch the surface in my mind of the leaps and bounds in musical innovation they would create when operating beyond any restriction! Hey DAARP - you guys looking for a sound-based crowd control device or, hell, even a weapon of unmeasurable destruction that would rival Tesla's concept of"the death ray?" That degree of immeasurable talent could split hairs, cause extreme sensory overload, boil blood, induce vertigo and perhaps even cause ears to collapse! Man, just trying to imagine what that would sound like is making my brain hurt! And I love skullgrinding metal so that's no trifle statement!
Woooow, this is something else....This is just as what i liked about Kraftwerk. Building your own equipment is great but this looks like it has been stolen from the spaceship from Alien...Genius guy for sure.
this guys cool but i have only found 1 actual track / music video of him every thing else is just him dropping by studios / talking about his controllers.
mind just blown....not everyday when you see something cool but not in a stupid hipster way lol best way i can describe it. def dig what he was saying about his music it self...
Legitimately nuts. Not something you see that often nowadays. More power to him.
+Adam Smith ha ha! This guy is something
Adam Smith i think this guy has enough "POWER" as it is ;) ;)
If he needs more power, he'll build it!
Don’t tell him about Ilon Mask
Indeed more power, he probably needs a dedicated 50amp circuit on 6/4 cord to run all of that.
This artist is innovative. Not just a musician, not just an engineer, not just an artist.
Tristan is the king! So glad to see him getting the praise he has long deserved!
This guy is brilliant... I saw him in New York last week and he stood out as something special! I look forward to what he creates next!
amazing live performer. very cool and humble dude. highly recommended to see him live, very visceral and unique experience.

This guy is a bonafide genius.
Saw him at Moogfest 2018 and I was totally blown away. Never knew something like this was possible.
Unbelievably unique, heavy industrial music made by one of the most ingenious artist out there
You gotta see him live to get the full effect. It took me a few songs to even follow what he was doing. Go see him if you get a chance!
Anyone got the tab?
He obviously already took three
A deleted scene from Saw. The musical torture device.
The release key is soldered to an ARP 2500 motherboard at the bottom of a pirhana tank. Elektron have gone dark.
The evolution of this can only get faster and more mechanically complex and we're here for it.
Saw this guy live last year in Austin with all of his fabricated equipment before he got into Elektron. It was grimey, gritty, and metallic. The sounds he makes are one thing but to watch him do it completes the industrial feel. Highly recommended!
Its the classic industrial one man band.
2020 Tool concert in Nashville brought me here. Great work Tristan and thank you for rocking the fucking house!
I can only imagine a collaboration between him and Full of Hell. Holy shit.
this guy is like the tony stark of metal
THE SLOW DEATH HOOKS *industrial
Lol, isn't Tony Stark the Tony Stark of (Iron) metal? :D :P
But yeah I know what you mean :D
This this the kinda stuff that makes you wonder “wtf am I doing with my life?” Lol one of the most unique things ive seen...maybe I’ll hook up a treadmill to my aK....
Daniel DeMayo Literally taking the day off to do music now.

This guy is next level! Musical genius and a hell of a mechanical engineer too!
saw him live a couple years ago in PDX. great set. if you can catch him live don't miss it! ace dude too. was his birthday that night. bought a him a beer. wished him well.
Saw him live yesterday. It's just as powerful and weird as you can imagine. Very captivating. Go see him.
The definition of the term "Man-Machine" in a musical realm...awesome
I saw this guy last sunday in Croatia. It was amazing.
I heard nothing but good things when he came through Detroit last year.
It's awesome to see someome going their own way entirely. Amazing creativity and vision, nevermind the know-how to make it a reality.
As soon as Covid-Quarantine is over, I'm gonna go to next show he plays close to me.
Can’t wait to see him in November
I came across Author & Punisher a few days ago and my God this guy is absolutely amazing, he still blows me away. Definitely looking forward to seeing him live. Much love for A&P
Kyle Langston glad you like it I’m not a ministry fan at all but this dude here is just awesome
If Trent Reznor and Mad Max had a child...
More like Celtic Frost and Genesis P. Oridge.
@@gretchenhangleton9603 Love that comparison!
Love A&P! So inspiring,.
Love his use of the A4 with his own instruments. Super cool industrial.
Great innovative way to create live music.

Tristan Shone is the freaking best man!!!
Caught a stream of him at Moogfest. Very interesting and cool. Good to challenge the assumption that we know all there is to know about human-machine interfaces. I think a microcosm of this is how programmers and gamers are all going back to mechanical keyboards.
Wow. Just WOW! That is some real hard work and you did not lose talent on the way. That is fucking commendable!
Pure energy
This guy is so smart and bad ass I’m gunna see him on Tuesday in San Jose should be cool as hell
He was good in person I was there too
Just saw as an opener with Tool, he was nothing special...
This is so much cooler than some of these EDM artists just sitting behind a desk pressing a button
AWESOME!
I want one of them lever thingies
LOOOOL WHAT THE FUCK. Sorry man but i absolutely cannot take this seriously. Just imagine this guy building an iron man suit in a dungeon somewhere so he can make techno with it.

I have no words.......
Is there also a video of just the performance?
Adeptus Mechanicus the song is called Beastland, it's the title track off of the new LP.
wow, how awesome!
Very nice matchup: this guy with Elektron machines. Can sound pretty or get mega dirty distortion with a few knob turns.
Is there a link to the performance minus the interview?
"Girth"
That is quite the way to describe your sound.
Accurate.
Fucking sickest shit in years. Tristan is great.
See on Tool Tour 👍 can't wait!
Holy fuck!
Amazing
This guy IS industrial.
I wanna see a midi input into the Rails so he can hit a loop and see that thing just slamming away on its own. So fucking tight.

that was Bad Ass!
Genius. Not in the new sense but in the old.

Sillyzombie666 Go to Spotify. His music is all there. DO NOT LISTEN WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING! Aggressiveness will follow. Amazing music.
This guy will probably be making the music for the next DOOM game. Now that Mick is out.
Want something done right, do it yourself.
