Really quite amazing. Fun to hear the excited buzz among the crowd. You are there to create Fine Art, but what a gift to the passersby!Thank you for sharing!
Really I liked very much your nice and beautiful painting sir, Thank for your sharing a painting which is drawn by you and painting process is going on. I learned a lot of knowledge about how to colour to pencil drawings. Thank you very much sir 🙏.
This is a great video and painting. Just starting with watercolor and I feel like I learned a lot watching this. Most significantly how you worked with two pools of paint mostly. This creates a very harmonious, almost monochromatic, image. Thanks!
Steve: the music being played is by Satie a very well respected composer. But I feel that there is no , need for Music being played while watching a tutorial, actually, I found the chatter annoying and put it on mute.
I enjoyed the music and was memorized by the entire process from beginning to end. The beginning was so spectacular, I might have stopped there. Absolutely exquisite!
Just do the same thing he did : Solve the whole painting before you even start by putting an Ink Drawing on it then add some color with watercolor so you can still call it a watercolor painting. It is probably harder to mess it up than it is to do it right.
great painting! who's this savage that grabs Mr. Stewart's STILL WET painting and turns to the crowd to take pictures with it in HIS hand? Mr. Stewart handled that properly by subtlety taking it away from this creep. very nicely Painted as usual, love Iain's style. Thx for sharing.
That "savage" is Turkish artist Atanur Dogan and president of the International Water Color Society, who is asking him to pose with the painting so all the festival patrons can click proper pictures. You shouldn't really comment anything rude about people if you're not sure of things. It makes you a savage and a jerk. Just google his name.
@@Citizen_X. When someone is as rude and crude as atanur dogan(note the lowercase) then he needs to be treated as he deserves!!!! Mr, Stewart was a gentleman, others may not have been.
@@vima8680 Firstly, those are just assumptions and calling him a 'Savage' or 'Crude' is uncalled for without full understanding. He obviously had the artist's permission to hold the painting as we don't see the conversation they had in the background before he went to hold the painting. He is not some random drunk bystander grabbing the painting for photos as he is a great artist himself. The artist was only there because of his invitation as he is the organizer of the event and president of the Watercolor Society. sözde rahatlatıcı bir müzik var fonda, ama milletimiz sağolsun, büyüleyici bir sanat ortamında bile, tadını çıkartacağına kuru gürültüye pabuç bırakıp ambiyansı katlemiş.sesini kısıp izlemek zorunda kaldım daha fazla gerilmemek için.ondan sonra neden sanat gelişmiyor. işte bundan. sanat ruhuna yabancıyız, en önemlisi nerde nasıl davranacağımızı bilmiyoruz. sözde izmir bu ülkenin en aydın insanına sahip ama hangi şehirde yaşarsak yaşayalıp anın tadını çıkartmalıyken hep gereksiz bir mücadeleye giriyoruz kendimizle. ortaya çıkarttığımız en büyük eser ise kuru gürültü.

I like it but i just get concerned about the watercolor im seeing out there right now.. it all looks like the same artist and im not seeing that much diversity. It is and is suppose to be such a diverse medium like oil paint yet everyone being promoted by the "watercolor establishment' or "press" to me, seem to all paint like versions of alvarao castagnet. That washy sketchy look. Instead of promoting artists like Marc folly, Marzio Tamer and all the amazing watercolorists who paint more of a finished look.
It was in a closed amphitheatre. I also had one hours notice before starting. So did the drawing fast and painted from an image on my phone. The subject is in my head. Cheers.
Iain Stewart is a master. His values, the composition and colour are superb. All done on his foundation of a beautiful drawing. A great lesson..
I think just like you. Thank you
I am really very much impressed to see the watercolour landscapes
Thank you
What a master of watercolor
Wonderful video with beautiful watercolour lesson by great artist AND, at last, an art video with music that fits the subject! Thank you
Music: Satie?
thank you. Iain Stewart is Master Watercolor Artist.

Thanks for sharing. I could watch you paint all day. Love this
Painting itself seems to be fulfilling a great challenge.

thanks very much for skhowing us your technic "à la goutte". At the end the green for water should have been broken in may opinion.
WOW ! That was fantastic !
здорово!. море можно рисовать и обычной белкой и даже без флейца. очень понравилось!
Look how he flawlessly keeps that initial water bead going and working his way down the page.
Awesome video! I like how the layering stays nice and transparent. (PS: Please, please, please, dump that piano music!!! OMG)

It always look so easy untill I start My Painting :)

If the music volume was reduced by at least half it would be much better or no music at all!
If the chatter were reduced or better yet eliminated it would have been even better.
I loved the music
did he sketch with a pen?
HHAHAHHAAH love when he throws the pencel like fuck yeah im the master
