This video really helped me, I can only beat 2 stars but after this video I feel ready to improve and start some 3 stars!
I've been playing osu for about 20 days and have had a tablet for 7 days. As a beginner, although I do not know whether to call myself a beginner because I have 100 hours of play, a place in the ranking around 600k, quite good results and I already go through most of the 4 star maps, sometimes even doing them for a very large combo and acc and some 5 stars but with low combo and acc. So as a "beginner" I must honestly recommend buying a tablet, even such a cheap one as my wacom ctl472S, even it is probably the best tablet at the moment, apparently it is indistinguishable from the famous cth480 in terms of performance. Since I started playing with the tablet, after the first hours I started to be better than ever, breaking new "insurmountable" barriers every now and then

I've been doing digital painting since 2016-2017 and I only tired this game because I was curious how it would play. I happen to have almost the same tablet, an CTL-672, which is the same One by Wacom series, just not the small, but the medium one. And this game is harddd! :D I'm sure I had at least some headstart compared to most players, but I lasted for like the absolute easiest songs that still took me 10-20 tries to reach above 80% accuracy.
I won't continue playing it because I'm really easily irriable by fast games, but it was a nice experience and thank you for the guide. Also, I played another game with my tablet called "Papers Please" which is an indie game where you play a border guard and you have to lay out papers of the people who are passing by and check if they are valid. Playing it with a mouse felt really slugish compared to the tablet.

u should use a tablet like wacom 4100 or wacom 472 if you cant aim or sucks at the mouse (use skin)

Playing high star maps is what skyrocket my skill and allowed me to get decent pp on lower tier maps. Strategy worked great for me. Acc unaffected.
to be fair the problem isn't that you "should never" play hard maps or anything crazy like that. The problem is that a lot of players (especially brand new ones) rush into star ranges which are way past what they can play before learning the fundamentals. maybe just got it across a bit wrong.

Glad it helped. It's an amazing game and especially if you already have rhythm game experience it will help you a lot with avoiding most beginner mistakes so that's great too.

@@sczer man its been 3 months now, and i can play a 5 star map but only on 70-80 acc but after watching ur vids on tips and guides i can play 1-4 star maps with above 90 acc btw, im using a mouse and a 2 key keypad, im surprised at how good i can control my mouse so i just want to thank you bro u rly helped a ton

I've been trying to figure out how to play Osu ever since I download it on my PC. Also, I've been pronouncing it wrong this entire time... I've played plenty of rhythm games. Yet, Osu is that one rhythm game I can't figure out. So, thanks for the tutorial. This game was confusing for me.

So on the screen after playing a map, where it shows your accuracy and stuff. Why is there two different columns for notes hit? Like the left column might say I got 20 100s while the right one says I got 15.
The right row is about combo patterns as a whole (if ther are 1 2 3 4 numbers on notes and you hit all with 300 you get a 300 in the second column as well) you can completely ignore that row though.
I just got my pc yesterday and I’m so lost omg. I tried downloading your skin and it’s not working. Do you mind hoping in a vc on cord? Need some help in setting osu up 😭 pls

I would say just go to the beatmaps section of the website and download as much as you can. Doesn't matter what maps you coose as long as they are ranked. Then just play their easy difficulties. This also helps you bild up a collection.
Alternativeley, I have a bunch of map lists on my chanel. Just download the maps I mention there and then play the easier difficulties.
Just play as many different maps and you will be fine

How do I unzip the files into the folder Im new to the pc stuff would like a good Guide if anybody is willing to😅
on windows you can mostly double click open them like any regular folder and then just drag the contents into the folder you want to have them in. if that does not work or it is a .rar file you need to get a program to unzip files for you (like 7zip or winrar) once that is installed you can do the same as mentioned above. Hope I could help if you still need it ^^
What are the numbers for? Especially the slider things
They are just visual indicators of the order you have to click the notes in.

Wait I didn’t watch the whole thing but when you are doing the stream patterns the number is 15 how do you’ll click the number 15 on keyboard. Also I know I’m being a dumb noob
-fast fingers- Nah the 15 is just an indicator of the order you click it in. You still use the same buttons for all of them. Don't explicitly state it but watching all of the video should help with the confusion you might have.

its kind of like hitting a flick shots in an fps. you didn't memorize that flick either, you just did it a million times before and got better at reacting to it and moving your cursor to the target.
