  • Botany Bay is one of the few stretches of public beach left with no development. The thin barrier island is eroding away faster than others along the South Carolina coast. Just a few years ago the beach had 75 feet of dunes to the high tide line. Now at high tide, the ocean chews away at was once a thriving maritime forest. The island is part of the Botany Bay Plantation Heritage Preserve.
    Gear used: Fujifilm X-T2, X-H1 and X-T4. Fujinon 10-24mm F4, 16mm f1.4 and 50-140mm f/2.8.

Magnificent and inspiring work. Also feeling saddened I’ll miss this treasure I’ve enjoyed so much.
