this might be my favorite format, it really showcases the improv talent of everyone cuz its almost impossible to plan a bit ahead of time, and yet they're still so funny
I'm almost the exact opposite. I think the format pushes them into relying on randomness, which is when I think TNTL is at its weakest. There certainly are moments here that made me laugh, but not as consistently.
@@climber5900 tbh ill grant you, I feel like the flops do flop harder for this reason, usually when they can’t find a way for the characters to mesh into a coherent bit. Then it just comes off as random. But if I (or most normal people) were in that situation, basically every single bit would fall flat and seem random like that. So when both people get in sync and immediately make sense of the situation in a way that doesn’t seem random, it’s gold, and it’s super impressive to me how often they manage to do that.
Courtney does not come to play in these last few TNTL’s. Their bits have been some of the funniest to date!!! Major props QUEEN 👑

Is anyone else floored by how incredible Damien's character work is? Everything he does is fully fleshed out and he's totally committed to some of the most insane ideas. I don't know how he gets there with only a couple minutes of prep time.

I think the reception to Anthony's Funeral really did wonders for Courtney's confidence. They have talked about struggling with feelings of anxiety over whether they are any good as a performer. I hope those fears are going away.

Ha, yes, I'm not the only one advocating for drag. There's so much potential considering how much they gender bend anyway.
I don't know if she took some classes or just got better by experience, but Courtney's improv has massively improved over the years. She wasn't ever bad, per say, but I think she's really killing it lately.

I think the main thing was in the beginning if a bit wasn’t working out she’d cut it and try to make goofy noises or say stuff like “oh no I’m sorry this isn’t funny”; but now she fully commits to the bits even if it still doesn’t make the person laugh; commitment and confidence in your own humor gets people to laugh a lot! I love Courtney’s sense of humor, she’s got me giggling all the time

@@jadebraun4370 I think that early on there was also a lot of pressure. The series exploded from a fun bit to a probably the most successful Smosh Pit series, and I could tell Courtney was trying really hard to keep up, sometimes too hard. The confidence and commitment definitely helps.

Blind pairs is definitely one of my favorite TNTL concepts because of the improv and unpredictability factor, and this episode has some absolute BANGERS. Please do more blind pairs TNTLs!! And Prop Tart!! I love prop tart TNTLs too

I think why this works so well is the improv idea of "make strong character choices". By having two people starting with different, usually outrageous, outfits, the scenes are already heightened and there is a lot to work off of and it gets right to the game of the scene. Blind Pairs rules.

Courtney has been killing it lately! They've always been funny, but lately they've been on another level. Don't know if it's because of all the directing and backstage roles helping them find their comedic voice or the extra freedom with not having to focus on sketch writing as much due to Ian and Anthony being back together or what, but whatever it is, I hope they continue doing it lol
