Security is the most mentally draining department on the station. Insanity, I say, sobbing in a corner after mime, clown, 3 tiders and 1 syndie paramedic claim squatter's rights in sec because no secoffs are able to successfully contain them without them dragging each other out of cuffs
Tutorial for Security: Step 1: Take your job seriously and do everything right in every way, still get killed, shoved or called shitsec. Step 2: You try more RP and argue with people instead of beeing harsh, still getting ignored, killed, shoved, called shitsec. Step 3: You don't really care anymore and vape until you fall critical with the clown. Then getting cuffed in your own cuffs, draged, dragged into maints, killed, shoved and called shitsec. Step 4: Repeat.
This is why i play lawyer, side with the trouble maker and drag things through court making you loose your sanity even more because the judge thought someone saying "It was based you honor" was a legitimate argument...
"your honor my client couldn't have possibly known that hitting a welding fuel container made an explosion, it was at most attempted murder (of the captain), I say 6 minutes is fair" - real argument I made and it worked
Don't do your job, Do your job, Do your job well, Do your job poor, all the same result - get yelled at. One of the toughest parts is how quickly everything can happen and how slow it is to type in comparison.
People just not listening to security is the worst thing. If people just get over having something taken away or actually leaving places when you ask them to, it's a good shift. It's hell when the only thing some people listen to is the fact that you're pulling out your baton- and they only notice that part because they want to slip you and take it themselves. Self-antags that try to take batons are a special variety of little demon. Those ones get the disabler.
Late joined syndicate this round and was unfortunately graced with having to assist the clown at the end I'm NOT glad to know that instead of stealing HoPs board they killed a bunch of random people while I killed their actual target on evac, giving them their only complete objective
I got to be syndicate with 2 targets and escape on the shuttle. Station didn't have security, and when I started killing, I got caught and almost half of the station died because they tried to test the fate and kill me. I wasn't proud for killing half of the station and even when I called shuttle and when it arrived, no one tried to get me since and I wan't trying to kill everyone. The only thing I was sad about is the death of the hamster that I freed from the box and was trying to save.
I've noticed on the few LRP servers I play on shitsec gets so bored cause they essentially aren't roleplaying and are only waiting for nukies or whatever to show up. They literally don't care about petty crimes at all and falsely perma people for stupid shit. Makes being a lawyer on these servers really really boring.
I know your mental degradation will increase when you start to play hos,' but seeing hos gameplay I feel will greatly help others understand gow to delegate officers and manage fights. (Watching you go insane is a slight bonus as it means another insane sec off is among us)
Never played sec, never will, don't have the mindset for it. But I get passive pain gain from watching security exist in every instance of a space station game, 13 or 14.
The only good thing you can enjoy when you part of the sec is when you are warden and HOS and that is yelling at sec offs because they open carry their batton but I'm mostly likely the only person that likes doing that
First shift as detective I had to explain tider that it's not okay to slip the officer, take his Lecter, shoot all the mag down the hallway and claim innocence afterwards. I also claimed innocence after my seclight accidentally slipped twice over their head.
as a hos main and old cmo main I can say that the switch from med to sec was very fun even if the job is hard, and it feels good to baton down shitters
Playing security is super bi-polar, you're either the most level headed and just person, just tryna keep the station and its crew safe. Or you're a tyrant that crushes the station under your boot. Dunno why I keep selecting security as my high-mid roles...
Up untill idiot warden refuse to bring prisoner syndie to shuttle because "he is a syndie, why don't we leave him to die" and because of that all the sec miss the shuttle and face painful death by explosives and decompression.
sec putting his life on risk to protect crew and ends up getting hated by everyone and getting killed by syndicate because some of the crew members think it was good idea to spam disarm on officer and relase syndie (also the fucking sec never responds when you ask for backup)
A lot of the heads during this shift were terrible. The only thing memorable about this shift for me was taking 50u of meth before making it onto the escape shuttle because the poisoner was still out and about. And well, i got poisoned, but I was so high on crack the poison didnt fully work, allowing me to detain them.
For context: me and a jani found a passenger body in a locker near hop bombing. When we found this body the jani just started beating it with a mop, i told him to stop but he didnt listen and ended up beating the passenger to crit. I took the body to med and also searched it just in case, (he was clean). When i saw this I had to arrest the jani for assualt. The jani was mad and said that he shouldnt be arrested for common sense. I said this wouldnt be happening if you didnt crit him in the first place, (since he wasnt moving and i was there with him.) (The passenger was ssd). So i ended up jailing him for 3 minutes and he was complaining the whole time. I then released him after he served his time. Then a few moments later the passenger comes to me and said that he did it again. low and behold at the round end manifest he wasnt a syndicate. Moral of the story “just because you think it’s common sense doesnt mean it is”
@@Liltenhead I honestly felt bad, cause you weren't my objective, I just needed your ID for 5 seconds to help someone else with theirs. But then I couldn't find them and eventually had to just dump the stuff cause most of my objectives were all non-malicious. So when I dumped the stuff, figured I could go and grab you and take you to med and get you cloned so you could place again. I don't wanna ruin people's fun if I don't have to.
I don't get to play sec, since I had a bad experience and overall don't like being sec. When I get to be HoS, something bad already happening withing few minutes of start (that's also included for other heads and Captain)
When I clowned the station extra hard I did some shifts as sec too make up for it and along the way picked up a love for it. Am not your typical sec valid hunter though I like too just keep the peace. However it depends per shift but sec can be the absolute worst too play it depends alot on who your superiors are. Would like too see you play hos or warden litl
I hated this round tbh. Everyone was either not taking anything seriously or just didn't rp at all. Drained my soul away throughout the shift (I was Chef)

I mean just call back up, then use flash spam them, this makes it easier
Trying to be a lenient officer typically leads to getting walked over as well, which is very draining somedays.
That's where the flashbangs come in.

I usually use the flash very often for them, it is super annoying to get permaflashed.
Also missed the part where you never hear from the HOS or warden the entire round.
You gotta play sec for those rare shifts where a security raid is needed :)

Exactly man. Being a secoff is stressful. Sometimes I blame this department for my anger issues.
the absolute chaos that happens in a given round of space station 13 is hilarious until it is actually your job to deal with it.
The round was worth it though because engi made an engi shuttle, and a damn good one at that
Sec offs, automatically have -100 realtionship to all crew members in the station, if it goes higher than that ppl woll riot

This is why i have sec disable. I just dont enjoy being sec. The gun are nice tho.
