Great advice here. Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take some risk but don’t try to shoot the lights out.
Hey so if I fund my IRA for the next 5years I will have a great return?
There’s risks involved with investing. But tech stocks are set up for potentially solid growth. I started investing back in 2021, and right now my total investment portfolio value sits at just over ~£765,000.
That’s amazing! How would you plan for a correction, bear market and or crash? They can significantly impact your cash flow especially during a crash for a very long time.
Never sell what’s working. Adjust allocations to manage risk. I am strongly convinced that having a skilled advisor who has a good practical experience in this respective field makes you successful.
Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last. I lost a lot of money last year as a result of bad investment choices that I would not have made if I hadn't been so worried about my portfolio. I kept investing, but I couldn't determine whether to start paying for a house. In the end, I sold my positions, and the house needed more work than I had planned. I'm not sure how long I can keep going like this
We've all made mistakes at some point. You should consider financial planning
True. My portfolio was diversified across several markets with the help of a financial planner, and were able to achieve over a million in net profit among high dividend yield equities, ETFs, and bonds. It is vital that you have a variety of exposure, including in firms that are currently generating cash flows.

I just dollar cost average. I’m always buying and holding and I never stop
I've been holding TQQQ for 3 years. My TQQQ total position worths about my family 8 year living cost. The cost here includes mortgage, private school tuition, etc. We don't hire any nanny. I did NOT sell even a single share of my TQQQ in the past 3 years. I KNOW the TRUTH of this market. I'm going to hold it for the next 3 years at least. I like your channel because many of your ideas are consistent to what I personally experienced in finance world.
Thanks for sharing these volatility tips. Seeing the volatility in the market can cause anxiety for me. This is another reminder to stay cool and collected.
Personally, I feel like you have the best investment advice on YT. Dave Ramsey for getting out of debt and Tae for making your money grow. No BS, no shortcuts. Love it and keep it up. Probing nuance wins.
Great info 👍 👌 👏
I am at the beginning of my investment journey, planning to put 100k into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice for what stocks to make up my wheelhouse?
Adding JEPI and JEPQ are smart additions in my opinion. As for staying committed to high-yield investments, it's all about balancing your risk tolerance with your long-term goals
I believe a healthy portfolio has 3 things at the bare minimum: exposure to ETFs for increased diversification, exposure to assets that generate cash flow like dividend stocks, and exposure to market-leading tech.
Stay the course. That's the best strategy for investing. It's always good to have a long term view when investing. In 20 years the market will always generate positive returns.
John Bogle would agree with you!
Listened to this one a few times. It's a good one for a amateur investor constantly plaguing themselves with the question: "Am I doing the right thing?" My emotional investment ups and downs could also be charted in close correlation with the market's. After listening to this anxiety's down and calmness is up.

The market will be higher in 20 years but what about the continued loss in currency value ?

Tae, I want to follow JL Collins and others play on just investing in VTI and VOO (no bonds for me I have a lot of years ahead of me).
Only thing is those ETFs are at all time highs or atleast towards those highs with a massive spike up over the last 5-7 years… that said I want to sell everything else and move my 90% sell off into VTI VOO for overall new investing strategy and safety for 30 years+
What’re your thoughts? I’m nervous I’ll sell off my stocks, buy into the ETF to high and get crushed in a high buy that’ll take however many years to recover.
Gotta zoom out bud. Check it annually. Keep buying and turn off the news.
