MARIE CURIE: A PIONEER WOMAN in her time

Marie Curie is undoubtedly the best-known scientist of the twentieth century. Pionera, along with her husband Pierre Curie, in the study of radioactivity was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize and, to date, the only person who has received two Nobel Prizes in different scientific disciplines (Physics and Chemistry).
Maria Salomea Skłodowska, was born on November 7, 1867 in Warsaw, Poland later known as Marie Curie, to receive the surname of her husband Pierre Curie. She was the fifth daughter of the professor of physics and mathematics, Władysław Skłodowski, and of the teacher Bronisława Boguska. His childhood was marked by the death of one of his sisters due to typhus, and the death of his mother from tuberculosis when he was only 10 years old.
Thanks to these investigations, Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911. Before her, nobody had ever won two Nobel prizes.

La adoré cuando leí su biografía. Me decía que me iba a casar con una científica jaja.
Pero ya dejándose de adolescencias, fue una de las mentes más geniales del mundo contemporáneo... Tras ganar el Nobel, patentaron el radio a tal punto que se dieron el inteligente lujo de no cederlo para el uso en armas.... 🌷
