This is one of the first people who I've seen interviewed that comes off as completely genuine. He's not fake bragging, he's not putting other people down, and his breakdown of the chart is spot on. Immediately I know this is one of the people who is doing well. UA-cam is FULL of posers with uncontrollable egos and questionable proof of their success but this guy strikes me as a genuine dude who put in the work. I wish him well

The thing about ICT is, he doesn't need to prove himself that he is good at what he does, the amount of successful students he has speaks volumes.

I bought your courses and i listen and studied all ict concept . All of this is fantasy and it has very small chance of consistency and success , i would love to create a channel about the really of this trading game so people will know the truth
ICT is free. His video can be looooong but if you don't listen to them yourself you will always get someone else's interpretation of HIS concepts.
Thats the problem. You watched all his videos😂. It all changed for me when i focused on 3 concepts : daily bias, judas swing and time and price. I dont care about Order blocks or 2022 model,silver bullet or anything else. Find your own model and make it work even if it is not ICT. Stop waiting for people to prove to you it works

i dont even care about ict, i care about the logic and theory of his concepts, its in the fvvvking market every single minute, hour, day, weeks, months! once you see it, you cant unsee it.

Great podcast both of you! If you don't mind, a few follow-up questions for Ali;
Do you perform COT + Seasonal + IPDA data range analysis on everything when trading FX, i.e. for EUR, GBP, DXY & Bonds?
Do you also bother with Bond analysis for Europe and UK to anticipate changes in relative currency strength?
Also, lCT has said that he wont even bother taking an intermediate term swing trade if there's no seasonal tendency in play - have you found that's super important..? I'm just wondering which combinations of these macro signals you've found are reliable and which you would let pass by. All the copy-cat channels love talking about OBs and FVGs but nobody seems to care about the big picture, which I think is a real shame.

Do you think they arrive at the office at 9:15AM just before the morning session opens, check the news, then buy or sell if above or below the 50 moving average? Or do you think they're doing analysis on the weekend.. after work... and looking at multiple factors likely to sway the sentient of the big money that moves the market so they can derive a directional bias for that day/week/month?

And it also stands for the Commitment Of Traders report, which lCT teaches his students to read properly to understand if big money is positioned long or short in a given market.

People talk shit on ict traders but what other traders can go into so much detail about what they are WAITING for and need to see before they even engage with the market. Thats why after learning SMC I can't go back. I know exactly what I want to see before I engage. I'm not chasing price anymore. Letting the market come to me. Likr they say "once you see it you cant unsee it" reslly go through content and prove it wrong. I think ght ict was full of dhit until i learned through and easier to understand teacher. After things started clicking i then had the patience and desire to sit through the ict videos. Try this approach. Plenty of teachers on youtube now.

Very good interview, you let him speak without interrupting. Probably to the people who is not familiar with ict concepts, most of the interview must have sounded like gibberish :)
This guy makes all the efforts to sound relatable but a superhero at the same time, but you can't be both.
ICT can provide a lot of real value though, I just wouldn't trust this guy only having watched this interview.
And how tf can someone who studies this much and has so much pride and dedication over his trading not track the statistics of his own trading lol
How bout some real Robbins cup winners on like Patrick Nill or Serghey Magala as guest , maybe even Robert Miner? I trade ICT style as well but these guys are proven Top G trader Serghey won both the Forex and Futures division at the Robbins. 2024 he says he will finally be releasing English training material 🤞

Great Interview. However I would like to point out that you don’t need to know why the market moves to make money in it. I’ve seen this idea become more glorified lately. Everyone is looking for a common pattern that repeats itself when you boil it down. Find an edge , refine as you go but the main thing is to work on your psychology simultaneously. Also, scalping with less than a 5 pip SL surely means your strike rate is very low. If we truly knew how the markets move , we all would have close to a 100% strike rate no?
I suggest you watch some of lCT's trade recordings and see how ridiculously tight his stop is. He is very consistently pulling in 5 digit TP's. He's so good it doesn't look real, but that's what 30+ years of career knowledge gets you.
Is a 5 pip stop unreasonable? Sure for the majority of people, but it's not inherently bad, it comes down to your knowledge and skill level.
Why wouldn’t you want to understand why/how the market books if it means you’ll have higher probability setups thus making you more profitable? Sounds like laziness.

I think this approach can not be backtested. Hindsight you can not crosscheck bonds, DXY, divergences......
Not saying this guy isn't real, but he rambles on like ICT, and doesn't really say anything. My issue with ICT is that he describes legitimate order flow analysis techniques but frames them with ridiculous terminology.
Sometimes I feel like the last sane person on planet Earth, coming to SoMe to say how little value I got from this or that, only to find comments like "this guy made me millions", "he's the truth", "I'd marry him if he was gay" :)

When you say he "describes" legitimate techniques, I think you mean he *CREATED* them... Well, unless you think Mean Threshold for example came from some random book? How about the Event Horizon? Is that elliot wave or supply and demand? 🤔
When you discover someone nobody else out of millions of people have, tell you what, you can name it whatever you want too 😊 no matter how absurd it sounds.
@ElenorSpeaks SIBI, BESI, PDarrays are some of them, while I am not disputing his analysis I am just saying these phrases or terms are silly, I could give terms to these situations too, but in the end these moments of market behavior are all explained in Auction Theory and the real thesis doesn't frame these auction imbalances in catch phrases, these phrases are meant to sound special and unique only from ICT's perspective and for his audience.
For example, if you've ever used Bookmap and seen real orderflow and the orderbook, all of these moves that he labels can be shown that the market is simply fulfilling its obligations to transact at these levels, and the MM's are simply moving the market in those directions to fullfil the customers' orders, ie the institutions.
Don't get me wrong I have found some value in his videos, but I kind of look past the kitsch.

All strategies work, just risk management…I watched many I T videos of people backtesting, average winning rate is not that high….So his strategies are not that top notch. The way people were talking about him I was expecting something much higher.

The way the algo moves price the way Wyckoff described 100 years ago is funny, isn't it! Then Bob Evans came up with some extra annotations to the Wyckoff method in the 50s.
Wyckoff discovered how institutions bought and sold stocks. ICT claims to be the man behind the algorithm. Might be true but he definitely knows the Wyckoff method. He has renamed several Wyckoff things and has sold courses doing that. Then he introduced some other things, that may be his own or maybe he made it better? Who knows?
Wyckoff is the father of SMC but there was no such thing back then. Now ICT claims he is the father lol.
Now, after all I have written above the question is:
Does ICT teachings work? Yes, they do but you have to study a lot and be thorough. It takes time to become profitable and your psychology has to be in check.
Useless ICT doesn't work. The phycology shit that people claim about is actually not the primary reason for not being profitable.
I'm so tired of hearing this "ict cult".. nobody says "break out cult" or "pattern cult".... Let's just each trade the way we want and call it a day.
I think ict is over rated. All people need to do is find a pair in there session to trade with a 1:2 1:3 risk reward and only need to win 3 out 10 trades and you will still be good

@divinasi0n I wouldn't call myself successful yet because I only been profitable to 6 months. But I do have four 100k prop accounts Made alittle over 40k in withdrawals so far. All trading us30 only

So you didnt explain why ICT, Mike Huddleston is a complete failure as a trader, but good at selling what he cant use himself.
The thing about ICT that I don't like is he literally takes techniques and terms that have already existed and renames them to make it seem like he came up with it, like a trend break retest entry will be called some esoteric nonsense when it's literally just an ascending triangle trend line broke, retested above or below the trend line and entering on that trend break.
I use that example because that's actually one of the things ICT has attempted to make his own by renaming it even though it's a common strategy used by professional traders.
I don't appreciate that at all, why bastardize technical analysis? Only thing I can think of is to get NEW traders into your mentorship because they will think ICT is some market magician when in reality he's not original he's just renaming concepts and strategies that have already existed before anyone even knew his name.
He's also not a successful trader, he has not won any trading competitions and has also stated that he makes more money from his youtube videos than from his trading.
Like PD arrays... you'd swear his not referring to a Fibbo and simply buy low (at discount) and sell high (at Premium) but yeah! it's a good concept just that for me its a little over detailed I like to keep things simple.

There has been allegations of ICT failing to win some trading competitions , whether these reports are real or fake is not clear but ICT admitted to having some mental health issues including bring bipolar and other issues that I don’t recall in one of his videos , that could explain why he keeps going on rants and could possibly explain why he can’t execute his concepts with proper psychology which could potentially be the reason he would fail a trading competition , when thing is for sure tho , his concepts really do work and this guys been trading since 1994
I love ICT, but I want to see his last 5 years broker statements. He never shares this.
@@t.b.3511 At the end of the day the only thing that matters is finding a consistently profitable edge using his concepts. The only thing you should be worried about is your backtesting results. Can you grasp and apply his concepts properly ? And do they work for you or not ? Seeing his broker statements is not going to improve your trading in any way shape or form
