Yes, Tricky Dicky made this disgusting epicurean delight(?) as famous as the Watergate Hotel. Americans should have known how evil Nixon was based on this nastiness alone!
I've had some of these for lunch at one or another over the years and still eat some of them occasionally and as always Thanks for the Memories.🇺🇲🥪🥞🧀🇺🇲
I am so thankful my mom never knew, or at leaste, didn't fix any of these lunches, except for the olive loaf. I loved that. I think I ate it with mustard in the sandwich.
The only two of these sandwiches that I eat are, the olive loaf and the deviled ham. We still eat the green beans casserole at Thanksgiving. I've never eaten nor even heard of the rest of these.
I still make pickled beet eggs. My whole family loves them, and that includes my extended family. We usually have at least 2 gallons at family reunions.
When I was pregnant I ate bacon and banana toated sandwiches every and still do but not everyday now, will add healthy peanut butter to see how it tastes. happy memory thankyou
My favorite sandwich is peanut butter, dill pickles, mayo and bacon. I have made the tomato soup cake before and when people tried it they though that it was very good even after they had tasted it and I told them that I used canned tomato soup. Also another cake I have made is chocolate cake using mayo instead of oil and eggs. Just saying.
This has to be a joke. I grew up in the 70's and the only things I recognize are the "Elvis" and olive loaf. I do pickle my own eggs, still. I just soak them in whatever pickle juice I have on hand.
I love sandwiches with olive loaf lunchmeat. My local Weis Market also sell fresh loaves of olive bread, when combined with olive loaf lunchmeat makes a great sandwich. Green bean casserole is a common dish in America, why is it on your list? One of my favorite sandwiches is grilled cheese and sauteed red onions. The only way to make a good grilled cheese is butter outside and mayo inside then fried. I've seen some bad videos where they toast the bread and put cheese on it, WTF? Here's one for you with today's prices. Get cans of Mackerel and mix it up with the recipe for crab cakes on a can of Old Bay and deep-fry, poor man's crab cake. For those picky ones use shredded zucchini instead of crab, just add a little extra seasoning.
@@NYChica23 What ultimately ended his life was straining on the toilet from being severely constipated, the gluttony of an extremely unhealthy diet and straining from constipation caused a heart attack.
I still make pickled eggs of many varieties. Had no idea they “faded into history.”
Peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are my go to midnight snack
Cottage cheese and ketchup?? I think I may need to hurl
I believe that Richard Nixon enjoyed this
If you must spew, spew in this =)

I eat cottage cheese with tomato and green chile sometimes. It’s not bad but, I do need to be in the mood for it.

Put them on the beer counter 😂😂😂
Not the pickled beet eggs! So many bad memories 😪
I love Olive Loaf. So does my cat LOL
Love pickled eggs; never tried them with beets, though. Yum!
I am so thankful my mom never knew, or at leaste, didn't fix any of these lunches, except for the olive loaf. I loved that. I think I ate it with mustard in the sandwich.
Cream cheese & olive! Still a favorite
5:48 Mid-29th century! 🤣🤣🤣
I love the Elvis PB and bacon sandwich and the fruit Jell-O!
I’m so hungry 🤤 now

The last one sounds good but, I'll pass on the others!
Peanut butter and bacon also sounds good...I now want to make that one day
At the bar 😂😂😂
I still make pickled beet eggs. My whole family loves them, and that includes my extended family. We usually have at least 2 gallons at family reunions.
Most of these are pretty ghastly, but I can vouch for peanut butter and banana. I will have to try it with bacon now.
Chopped black olive and walnuts + mayo sandwich from Heloise Housekeeping Hints column
Olive loaf is my favorite sandwich meat. I cant find it in any store though.....
Grilled Spam and pimento cheese sandwiches.
Bananas and peanut butter 😂😂😂
When I was pregnant I ate bacon and banana toated sandwiches every and still do but not everyday now, will add healthy peanut butter to see how it tastes. happy memory thankyou
peanut and dill pickles are good.
Pickle beets 😢😢😢😢😢
Eggs 🥚 and bananas 🍌 😂😂😂
Eggs 🥚 and cheese and bacon 🥓 😅
Pickled beet eggs are a bar food staple along with pickled sausage.

They were made with Knox unflavored gelatin
Liverwurst, or Braunschweiger were the only ways you could get me to eat liver, until I leaned to appreciate liver
Olive loaf, & pickle & pimento loaf were two of my favorites
One of my dad’s favorite sandwiches is peanut butter and onion. I’ve never developed a taste for it. 😂
Love the eggs pickeled with onions & beets. I will eat a penut butter sandwich with bananas or bacon or jelly. The rest doesn't appeal to me.
I dò pickled eggs in beets or pickle juice, bread and butter pickle juice.
Olive Loaf 💗🫒🍞
Pb and bacon you say that actually sounds delicious..minus the bananas lol
Spam and lima beans. Sounds like a civilian version of the old ham and M Fs c-rations.

Oops...my mistake.. Thought this was a forgotten foods of the 70's video.

Everything on this list looks disgusting. It makes sense these food items disappeared..
I really wouldn’t follow Elvis’ diet, no offense to him but he died bloated and constipated
He was also takin alot of drugs an drinkin so that didn't help much
He also was addicted to prescription drugs, and that was what ultimately ended his life
@@NYChica23 What ultimately ended his life was straining on the toilet from being severely constipated, the gluttony of an extremely unhealthy diet and straining from constipation caused a heart attack.
@@lisadinuccio8393 So we're going to ignore the drugs that contributed to his decline?
@@NYChica23 Drugs did not kill him, they did not end his life. Period.
Heart ❤️ attack waiting to happen.🎉.
