  • This is part 4 of the series. So we have finally hit our midway point during our Newfoundland overlanding adventure and we spend this episode starting the trek back to Port Aux Basque from Deer Lake. But of course we still have 3 nights to stay in Cornerbrook, Robinson and one more night in Port Aux Basque before catching the ferry back to Nova Scotia. Check out this episode as we talk about our trip thus far and what to expect in the final two episodes of this series.

I’m in Pakenham ON, in the Ottawa valley.
ATVs allowed on the roads all up through this area… just not on the series 4 highways.
It is a wonderful to not have to trailer up just to drive 10 mins to get to the mountains or trails.
Enjoying your trip… wish I had been with yous.

Excellent video, guys! So glad you're enjoying the trip. As a Newfoundlander, I think our Tourism Department should be sponsoring you guys! LOL! Your endorsement is as good as any paid advertisement. Looking forward to the next one.

Hubby and I are watching your videos tonight and loving it. My husband did it twice and I did it one time and we are booked again for this August, can’t wait. I am a Newfoundlander living in NS where hubby is from. We too follow Patrick Ryan and he is awesome. Look forward to more of your videos, well done. (Sonia and Dave)

yes its definitely off putting knowing you're allowed on the roads but coming up on a cop in NB i got a $392 ticket for "operating an off road vehicle within 7.5 meters of a highway" i went to court pled not guilty went to trial got chewed out by the judge for not having representation all i said was A its my mobility aid B if they're going to tickert me for being that close to a highway while i was on private property than they best be getting out there and ticketing everyone on their lawn tractor. then because in court i said all that while sitting the jusge tried to charge me with contempt for not standing to speak abnd sitting to liste. i looked at the prosicuter abnd said that sounds like discrimination just like the ticketing me on my mobility aid and they were both thrown out the judge was given the option to retire or be charged with discriminartion under the human rights act a few months later the government denied me disability and told me to apply for maid instead so i moved to grand falls-windsor NL where one of the first things i did was ask for permission from the town they said no and sent me a snipet of the traffic act then i read up on the accessibility act called the rcmp to clarifty my findings sent that to the town and said to bad ive been pulled over twice here and the cheif comes out gets my ID from the officer explains how i operate under the accessibility act which section 4 sub section 2 states it "prevails over any other law or regulation that does not provide more accessibility" gives me my ID back and sends me on my way i love it here i love it more that the police are on my side and no one can do a thing so i make a point to cruise by town hall every day. the only thing the police say is that i should wear a helmet they dont say i have to because technically i dont fall under any law that requires i do🤣🤣
