Vader's done some dumbass shit like not outright killing fools before; and Batman would know, especially if he's got battle data from Vader fighting Superman, that he couldn't actually win that fight. This version went down almost exactly like how I'd expect it to go down for real - Batman loses the fight, but wins the war.

Darth Vader always has a bad habit underestimates his opponent. One thing you don’t do is underestimate Batman, my man doesn’t need prep time bruh. He didn’t look like he preped for Vader and still did pretty good, I mean Batman has beat darkseid and the entire justice league my guy. He’s like one of the best tactians and combat stragtegist ever, he also knows 127 fighting styles and creates his own forms. I’m not smashing Vader, like the dude is a literal beast I’m just saying that Batman isn’t going down without a good fight
