I know this video is 4+yrs old but I love how practical your set up is and how down to earth you are about the things you have and use to store your artsy "stuff" in. It makes me feel good to have that confirmation that all that expensive foo-foo stuff truly isn't necessary. Especially when that confirmation is coming from someone like you who is loved and respected in this community!!! So 4yrs later....Thank you!!!! lol
Your dedication to repurposing is inspiring! I love that it is your way of life, engrained in you; not just a trend you've jumped onto to sell things. This room feels delightfully happy, cheerful, and full of creativity! TFS
I love your new space, Gina, and all of the memories connected to the repurposed items that you've organized in. Don't even apologize about anything! I'm inspired *again* and hope to do some organizing soon. I can't even "wiggle" in my space! Blessings on your repurposed crafting!
You are so deserving of this space to create. You work so hard and now you don't need your machine in the kitchen. Congratulations. I'm doing my craft room also and it's coming from a small room upstairs to the other half of my living room so I can create while with hubby watching TV, or grandchildren playing. Thanks and happy creating.
I adore your space Gina, it looks so comfortable 😍 I love being surrounded by things that make me feel good, and your space looks like it's exactly that for you. I'm so happy you decide to share! Thanks so much for the tour 😍
I LOVE your space!!! I love how you have repurposed so many different thrift store and estate sale finds to have such great storage for all your journal supplies and fabrics. Thank you so much for all the great ideas for storage and organization that you shared! Happy crafting!!
Good morning, Gina! Love your storage items. Very organized. I totally understand the little step stools and going 'up'. As long as you can find stuff and the layout works for you. Creative Blessings!
Thank you!!! I’ve been in the process of reorganization of my craft room and 99.99% of the craft room tours are of all IKEA showrooms of scrapbook/card makers. I don’t do those and have no idea what all those things in every color (except stamp pads) are, like “Thickers”? Did a 2 year old name stickers😂? I’ve been into needle arts for the last 30 and dabbled in embossing a bit in the late 80’’s early 90’s before it became really popular. So when I became disabled a while ago I started art therapy, this will be my second year, of as a means to take my mind off the physical pain and have been binge watching UA-cam tutorials as my new Netflix. I’ve learned to paint, draw faces, art journal, and now making journals. So the things I’ve been struggling to sort, organize, and store are the ephemera, papers, scraps, bits, and bobs etc. and your tour is the first one to actually do that. I’m a repurpose fanatic so my room looks very similar to yours. I even have that same yellow sewing book displayed!!! I don’t get to art as often as I’d like as I’m in bed a lot so when I do get in my craft room I don’t want to feel overwhelmed or have to always be cleaning up, which is a reality as I typically have nothing left in the tank or I’m forced to stop prematurely and have to lay down, leaving a mess for the next time I go in there. So I now have different areas within the area to work in so I’m not always stuck tidying. But easy storage is a must and I just couldn’t visualize how.
Your room is fabulous! So comfortable, like I would not be afraid to craft there. I have seen so many craft rooms that are just beautiful, but I would be afraid to craft in it, might get it dirty or move something out of place. This is my type of room, but I do believe my favorite thing is your screen door. That is such an awesome piece!! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness, Gina!! I would never leave this space if it were mine. You should be Ha Ha about it - It is divine and a crafting space to be proud of!! I am slowly organizing too --- SLLOOOWWWLY : / Thanks for sharing.... xx ....and I forgot to say the colors in your room look like a page from one of your homebody journals --- so vibrant and eclectic!! Really love!!!
Absolutely love your space! I think what I love most is your window. My room is in the basement in a space with no windows. I would be just lovely to sit and work at that desk by the window! Love going vertical, that's what I've done in my small room. I've got a couple locker shelves on my work desk that we're on clearance after school started. They are great because you can store beneath them too. Thanks for sharing your space, Gina! Love it! ❤️
Love your space...but really love everything in your space!! So many amazing things in which you have collected to create with! Thanks for the look see, you're such an inspiration! Hugs beautiful ~
So happy for you, what a awesome set up!! I love your little collage art pieces and the refrigerator drawer and that screen door ! I hope for many productive and creative hours in your new studio!! I ordered some bold granny papers from you I know you have them on the way already, I can hardly wait for them to arrive!! Thanks Gina for all the inspiration. Tina
Gina, what a great room - how wonderful to have work stations and cutting/layout tables! My "creative space" is about a quarter of that size, but I am grateful to have it. My sewing machine, books, and most of my journal supplies have spilled out to other spaces, lol!! Tfs :)
You have a wonderful space. I plan to use those metal shelves in my craft cottage (almost finished) so I'm glad to see they are working well for you. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness, Gina!! I would never leave this space if it were mind. You should be Ha Ha about it - It is divine and a crafting space to be proud of!! I am slowly organizing too --- SLLOOOWWWLY : / Thanks for sharing.... xx
Oh this gave me tons of inspiration! Thank you! My crafting stuff is currently spread out all over my house but the main stash is in my office which is fairly small and of course contains all our business files, etc. Thank you for the ideas! I need to get my working surfaces back!
Hi thanks for showing us your organization in your craft studio! I was eyeing the “Good Housekeeping” cookbook under your table, too bad I missed that sale! That was my first cookbook that someone gave me. Unfortunately I got rid of it and I believe that it had the teriyaki marinade recipe I always used. Excellent pie crust and apple pie too! Lol I love your channel and all the creativity that pours out of your soul! TFS❤️
Amazing craft room, I have been blessed to be able to move my crafting area into one of my kids old rooms, and it is so nice! I have a request also. Could you do a video on your process of selecting what you put in a journal? I have maybe 1/4 of the stuff you have, and I struggle with pouring over tons of books, magazine images, fabrics, ephemera etc for days/weeks trying to decide what to use for one journal. (and making a huge mess in the process.) You make such amazing journals, and they are so cohesive....I simply can't figure out how you ever go through such a huge amount of stuff and decide what you will put in a journal? I would SO love to see a video showing how you do that PLEASE!!!
I love seeing how everyone organizes their craft rooms! Now that I started doing more junk journals with vintage items I've had to create a space in my room for the overwhelming amount of stuff I've accumulated lol! Gave me some ideas! My cousin's name is Stella and I haven't met another one since! Love that name! Tfs!!
Yep, Stella is my first name and I loathed it my entire life. Having that name as an elementary school kid in the 80s was not fun. But, now I am proud to have it as my name. xoxo- gina
Very cool room. I love your screen door and framed pages. Some of your little reference books I have from my childhood and there's a stack with story collections that I still have, too. Some of my other books got water damaged, but some pages are still intact so I may save some for projects. Thanks for all the great ideas.
Love your new space! I have to have most everything in sight--or I forget I have it-- I suppose that looks messy to some, but it looks inviting to me. :) It's totally awesome how you found ways to incorporate all your personal treasures too. Enjoy!
What an amazing space to create in! I repurpose everything aswell, but my room is nowhere as neat and organised as yours lol. Love the fridge vegetable drawer. We had a fridge with drawers just like that when I was young. Really love your work. Hugs all the way from Australia 😊
So many great ideas and I just adore your craft room! This video has given me so many ideas... I’ve recently had to pack up my craft space due to a flood in my basement, so going forward I will try to keep boxes and things off the floor - also rethink the storage units I use. Love those industrial shelves! TFS love it all. 😊💕
I love Your craft room and I can tell that You truly feel blessed to have this room. I love Your screen door hanging up and I have one out in the garage that is brand new and it won't fit on our house; thanks for sharing! I love that spool little shelves.
Ty for sharing love the space so much my oldest son just told me today he’s moving out the middle of June yes I wanted to cry but guess what I get a CRAFT ROOM lol right now I have a hallway for a craft room haha.so I’m excited and sad at the same time but it’s time I guess he will be 23 haha
I love it! It is so nice to have room! Do I see Meta Given's Encyclopedia of Cookery volumes? LO! I got a set when I turned 16, think it was! I NEVER had a bad recipe - Blancmange (the chocolate version...) Yum! Not needing the ones for squirrel, etc, though. They are hard to find. Mine are clear Duck Taped together! I love that you have old family things.
Yes they are! I'm almost 72 and for years, I point things out that have REAL value - like a knitting book that has excellent instruction and pattern swatches... and the Meta Given's is on top of the list!
Hi, I'm new to this channel (Love it!). In this video you said you no longer do craft fairs, May I ask why? Intrigued :) apologies if you've said on a previous video. X
Gina, are you going to do more of the homebody jj. I have been waiting for a special one that call me. You haven't made it yet. Following and checking all the time.
Just said yesterday I wonder what her space looks like and then this videos pops up on my feed. Great job gives me hope I have so much stuff and my room is a rock. Question you said you were a teacher are you retired now? How much time do you spend a week in this room? Have a great day love all your videos and your work!
Hello! Not retired but I have grown children which allows me a lot of time in my 'happy place'. Usually during the school year, I can only be in there on the weekends. But, in the summer...I live in there! xoxo- gina

Lovely room tour! I’m just wondering about the red and white books you have under your tables (they were with your “to be used for Etsy shop” books) are they childcraft books? Thanks for sharing all your crafty goodness!
TheReBookery I love the design on the spines! Haven’t seen those ones before. Do you know what year they are from? I’m still on the hunt for some in the local thrift shops 😊 Can’t wait to see what you creat next ❤️
angiegal71 That’s awesome and such a great idea to look at library sales! I looked at buying on eBay but the prices and shipping to Canada is crazy so I’ll continue the thrift store hunt which is all part of the fun 😊
Love your new crafting area. TFS. It shows that your grandmothers were a big influence on you. Such a talented, crafty family.
