    Fantastic photography. Doesn't seem that long ago if memory serves but it's nearly 20 years ago! Look at those shiny new 158s and Pacers. Thank you for uploading.

    Blast from the past.....2004 to 2005 ish with those "first branded" 158s, I was a conductor working the route when they took over and personally, I hated the blue vinyls spoiling the striking Northern Spirit Red and gold TransPennine variation. When the Phil Sayer voice was replaced at Huddersfield, initially there were complaints until Slaithwaite was re-recorded as "Slawit" The new voice was a colleagues.

    Slaithwaite is not pronounced sleighthwaite but would be pronounced Slathweight if your from the west riding or sloughwaite if you live in the Colne valley. Enjoyed the video greatly thankyou
