I know it's the joke, but in case anyone happens to not know - Bernie Sanders isn't a communist or even a socialist. He is a social-democrat. He (unfortunately) uses the term 'democratic socialist' as it has become adopted by many people in the US, despite being an inaccurate term for his proposals. Just because Americans say it, doesn't mean it becomes correct.
