    The registration process seems to be a nightmare, operated by staff who cant think outside the box- Although I have Masters, they questioned why I dont have a Bsc.

    As a pharmacist practicing in the UAE for the last 2 years, it’s sad to see what the profession has been reduced to. Everything is true except for controlled medicines. That’s the only working aspects. Salaries are so poor with unfavorable working conditions. I wouldn’t recommend here for anyone. These days, I’m just happy because my stint here is coming to an end.

      Thanks so much for sharing more insight. I think it’s so important for people to really know what practice is like in other places so they can make informed decisions. Thanks for tuning in :)

    Thank you for this video. How did you get a job as a Pharmacist in UAE? I moved from UK to Abu Dhabi with my husband who got a job offer.
    I am up to the stage where I need a job offer letter to essentially 'activate' my license. I am located in Abu Dhabi and Cleveland clinic want Pharm D qualifications. I have applied to many other positions including those in Dubai (willing to travel) but only received an unsuccessful response from Mediclinic. (I have about 13 years Pharmacist experience as a mixture of clinical and Technical)
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Hey there! So sorry to hear about the difficulties with securing your desired position. In the video Regina talks about some of the routes she took to try and secure her role. In the video description box there are some contact details for her so you can connect with her directly. I am sure she will be more than happy to give some guidance on this as she is also based in the UAE

    She mentioned B pharm and pharm D can you throw more light on that please

    • @oresupasta1363
      @oresupasta1363  Рік тому

      B pharm is a bachelors degree, whereas the PharmD is a doctorate degree - sort of like a PhD

      Incorrect. PharmD is not a doctorate program. In some countries it's given as a masters degree(Masters in Clinical pharmacy in E.U) and some, U.A.E for example, it can be obtained as an undergraduate program with a duration of 5 years studies and internship in hospitals.@@oresupasta1363

      @@oresupasta1363ok so does that mean an Mpharm is equal to Bachleor in Dubai meaning you can only work in retail?
