Great announcing and even better race !!! @floracing please put more infield cameras and use those camera shots on dusty tracks like this. Half of this video as a viewer was us looking at a cloud of dust wondering who's coming out of it. Missed some of the best race moves for the lead because of this.
@@joshuaguthrie9750 Interesting. By all means I will take your word for it. With so much dust on the opening lap, I think they need to till-in some gummier clay. I realize they don't have the "Black-Gumbo" of Knoxville, but jeepers laying down serious coin to watch a race...& can't see the race??
I don't think it's really an issue with lack of water, more likely the clay....or dirt. The racing was phenomenal with guys running top, middle and bottom. You wouldn't have that if they watered the hell out of it. It would be single file around a heavy cushion. Port Royal is always dry and slick but never dusty because they have good clay.
Sometimes it takes watching shows from other states other than PA to really appreciate n see how good our tracks n track crews are. That's just a lack of track prep n flat out not enough water through the week. Not the night of the race. Through the week. That's the diff. When port was getting really bad n before the new owners took over like 10 12 yrs ago it was getting 15-18 trucks of water through the week n it was terrible. Williams Grove was getting 30-35 minimum they were the premier place at the time. Soon as port changed hands n got 32-35 truck loads of water through the week it slowly became what it is today. Gotta have the crew n water to run through the week if u want a premier track without having it just dry out get to be a dust bowl n rubber up
Port is dry, slick and up to the rail nearly every week. The difference is the clay. Port has top notch red clay and they know how to prepare for great racing - dry and slick with a curb up near the rail to lean on. They don't water the hell out of it because they know that leads to a stomp and steer cushion parade like the Grove usually is nowadays. They will sprinkle the top throughout the night if needed. Main issue with the Grove is the paper clip shape and flat turns, so outdated for today's cars. Should have shortened the straights and added banking years ago.
Those are premier tracks playing host to some massive races. Hilltops biggest race of the year is the one you just saw or didn’t see…… it’s just a small town local track no outlaws no high limit no Lucas oil man give em some grace. Not going to dump a bunch of time and money and man hours for a FAST series sprint car race it’s just not gonna happen
Ridiculous dust for early June. Dangerous for drivers. If you have a track surface that is prone to producing a loose silty dust when it drys... you should have an adequate watering set up. Then you tell your push-truck guys to keep working up the banking after pushing-off to work it in. This is not Rocket science.
What are you talking about blistered turd of a track? There was some good racing on that last night and there was pretty fast. It was dusty. If you think you can do better go run the track.
@joshuaguthrie9750 Go easy on the boomer he’s been gone for over 30 years. He can’t remember what he saw last week let alone a race from hilltop in the 90’s
There was a shithole track just like this in Corona CA. Dusty and dry. A poor excuse for a race track. They ran the race anyways. There was a pile up on the start. Drivers couldn't see shit. The ensuing wreck caused Johnny Anderson to be hit and punted down the track several times causing his some pretty serious injuries.
Hey keyboard warrior. Go run the fucking track if you think you can do better. See you only come on here and bitch and moan because you can’t actually do the fucking job.
You don't hear that name near enough. Johnny is a legend. He raced a midget for my dad many moons ago. I was very young(6-8years old). My did still talks about how smooth he was and particular he liked his office (cockpit). Was the race you're referencing the one where he almost lost his arm?
That had to be one of the most pathetic track preps I've ever seen. You couldn't even see the race not even through the camera. I would have been asking for my money back. That's like going to the movie theater wearing a blindfold. Have they never heard of water
That was one of the better races I never saw!
You could see the race? How
Congrats Danny!!!

Do they not know what a water truck is in Ohio?
Read my comment if you care to & have time. Then clicking like might help that track?
They watered the piss out of it. I was there.

Oh, we do, just not on race tracks.
They do, but since it's Ohio, they were all broken down
At boy Danny! Been a fan ever since you got on The Chaz show.!
At least they kept the dust to a minimum
Lmfao not even close
Sounds like it was good racing… Wish I could’ve seen it.

Where were the cars?
Holy hell, who could possibly enjoy watching a race with that much dust? Do they not have water in Ohio?

Arm chair track prep mmmm k
🇦🇺Go Brock
We’ve had all kinds of water. Would you rather some dust, or the track to come apart and have a bunch of guys destroying cars
They need some calcium chloride on that track.
Apparently water is non existing in Ohio
You know what cuts down on dust? Pavement.
Greg is scared to death to go up top and try to win.
Yes it was a slick dry sandy track but to all you keyboard warriors, if it’s so easy go show them how it’s done.
Who said it was easy?????
@@Averagekylebuschfan a lot of ppl in the comments
@@Dcc23d no one said it was easy what are u talking abt
Dont believe in a water truck?
Good racing for blistered turd of a track I don't remember it being that bad back in the 90s
