Congratulations Brian, and well deserved!! Years ago I was in Palm Beach Airport, as a snowbird, awaiting our kids arrival for March break, when Brian deplaned and walked up the ramp. I was so excited I waved furiously, which caught Brian’s attention. He waved back, then slowly retracted his hand when he realized he had no idea who I was. ☺️ A fun memory
Very beautiful home and Congratulations, Brian! I would have appreciated hearing Gary finish his sentences. When filming segments with spouses, plan ahead and decide what the spouse should talk about and how many times they should speak. Then have the courtesy to let them talk.
I met Brian and Gary on Church St. in Toronto years ago. I was having dinner with a friend, when they sat at a table near us. I decided just to stop briefly and say how much I like his work. Brian and Gary were beyond friendly, and we had a lovely conversation.
I love when I find a piece about Brian. He's so talented. This was a treat to meet his partner and take a peek into his beautiful home. Hope he shows all the updates. Congratulations to Brian
Wow, that guy has great taste. That is so beautiful. Oh my goodness. I totally love his sense of style. That kitchen with the soft white, and those white curtains that open up into that wonderfully pretty darkish room, is just gorgeous! Love it! Everything else too, those other rooms, wow, so pretty, peaceful, beautiful.
A stunning home, very sweet to share his future plans for their home. Clearly great friends with the interviewer & as friends do she finished Brian’s sentences and interrupted him lots but loved listening to what he had to say.
Congratulations Brian! Your designs are always spectacular and so thoughtful. And I just love to listen to you, you're so intelligent and well spoken. Well deserved :)
This interior designer has amazing talent & does the utmost detailed work in all of his designs. I like the way he's not afraid to place t.v.'s in various rooms of his home unlike other interior designers. What's a home without a television?
When the video started I thought they were in his office until I suddenly realized it was a kitchen. I like it, though. The rest of the house looked fine to me, like it didn't need ripping out & changing. But he's a designer, and that's what they do.
I love the kitchen. He is absolutely right on not needing or wanting a big kitchen where there is a big gap in your triangle. The triangle is The sink, Fridge, and Stove. And if you have a cook top, you don't want your square to be too big....include the oven. The rest of the house isn't my style but it is lovely. I like that moody black in the kitchen. Love that fireplace in the kitchen too. I wish I had a fireplace in my kitchen!
Wow Brian exquisite and lovely. That fireplace mantel is quite the piece along with the original Louis Vuitton trunk. I can tell you have some great original pieces that can never be handcrafted in such a way as they were in the past. Outstanding property.
I absolutely love, love, love Brian! Congratulations! His design aesthetic is outstanding while at the same time, very practical and very relatable! I always reference Brian when I need to be inspired! Thank you very much and congratulations, again! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨💖💖
I wish the presenter and Bryan would stop cutting Gary off everytime he went to speak. Half way through his sentences they would just start talking over him. In one instance the presenter just walked away while he was speaking.
Hello Kathy..am sorry if this sounds weird but you wrote a nice and wonderful comment on here. I can tell you are a very positive and charming person. If it's okay by you, I hope you don't mind to be friends?
Congratulations to Brian! I love so many of his designs and his attention to sight lines. His house is beautiful and I love his wardrobe. My husband is the same size and build, if Brian wants to change his wardrobe while redecorating his house, kindly have him send everything to Eric, lol. Kidding not kidding, his fashion sense is impeccable.
I've been watching Brian since I was a kid and my mom was watching City Line on Thursdays. This is over 20 years ago. One thing I would love is to be able to walk into a store and be able to look at the entire Glucksteinhome line. Maybe there's a brick and mortar store in our future? Hopefully.
exquisite style as always, Brian. Have watched your designs and nothing has disappointed me so far. Great talent! Looking forward to how your new home will look like. Cheers!
@@benre Tone deaf to whom? I grew up working poor, took on 6 figure debt to go to school, paid off all that debt without outside help of any kind, and saved up for a beautiful home in one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. And still, I have no issues celebrating other people's success.
The designer doesn't let his partner talk. He dominates the conversation even when they are discussing the partner's furniture piece. Wow! He's so full of himself.
I was struck (and appalled) by your comment that at one point you were considering tearing down your house and building something new. After all the years of work you put into it you were just going to toss it into the dumpster just to have something fresh and new? One question I would love to ask any designer and have them honestly answer: Does being in the design profession and constantly being surrounded by new products, new websites, new images and new trends mean that perfectly good things should be tossed away just so you can be "current"?
The materials you don't see in old houses have a shelf life. One example is that his roof caved in and dirty water flooded the house. He considered his options. Either put a ton of money into restoring and patching up the old structure or he could have salvaged what was left and built a new home. The furniture he collected over the years has nothing to do with the structure.
@@laverite1050 The home was built in 1913 and is obviously well constructed and well worth the investment to maintain. It is such an American notion to think that a home not even 100 years old that is well constructed and has been so well taken care of has only a 99 year "shelf life." Of course plumbing, electrical et al can be updated but completely gutting or tearing down a home this grand and historic would be criminal IMHO and screams nouveau riche with no regard for authenticity or history. So he had to repair damage from the flood and replace the roof. BFD. Well worth it to maintain this treasure. Again just my opinion. Kudos to this designer for not abandoning the home to less sensitive owners or for demolishing it completely. He will update it exquisitely I have no doubt.
The kitchen is lovely. Just my opinion, but the living room needs some living art /drama. An olive tree or some Unusual plant that maybe climbs around something. To me its a little hotel set. There are some beautiful pieces of furniture. Again, only my opinion. Lovely vlog.

Ha. I thought I was the only one who noticed. Didn't look like he wanted him to speak at all.

That kitchen is so different to any that I've seen, so cosy! 😍
Brian is the best Canada has to offer. ❤ there are several others as well, but Brian……❤

Brian is phenomenal! Absolutely love his designs and his vibe!

Lynda interrupts Brian and Brian doesn't let Gary speak. Lol very relatable friends chemistry
We love the display wall in the kitchen! Haven’t seen that before, just love it!

My favorite designer of all time !

Brian is one of my favorite interior designers his kitchen is just a favorite of mine .
This is what I would love my kitchen to look like. I have been searching for 2 1/2 years for the perfect kitchen and this is it.
Is that an original Charles Rennie Mackintosh chair I see 8.45 mins in? Lovely!..2 chairs in the arches. Mackintosh is timeless!
The OG interior designer! Classy and chic style always.
It’s very beautiful! I’m loving it. The only thing is the house need more plants and flowers .overall it’s pretty neat and lovely.

Omg that glass cabinet surrounding the fireplace. It is literally the best design I have ever seen. I wonder why more designers don't do them.
Totally agree.. a lovely space to stay, eat and appreciate their gorgeous collection…

Wow Brian exquisite and lovely. That fireplace mantel is quite the piece along with the original Louis Vuitton trunk. I can tell you have some great original pieces that can never be handcrafted in such a way as they were in the past. Outstanding property.
Brian has been my favourite since he first appeared on Cityline! Love him!
Will we be able to watch the changjng...room to room? Would love to see the changing..though processes as they change them.
Love the house!!!
I wouldn’t change anything!
Very nice .
I hope i have the honour and pleasure of seeing it completed as envisaged
As beautiful as his home is, I'm still trying to process his leaving on his oven for weeks and not realizing it. 😂😂😂
This is marvelous kitchen for people who mostly eat out
Love the kitchen and so beautiful home. Congratulations, Brian.
I would have so many dinner parties in that beautiful kitchen people would have to spend the night because they will have so much fun 🤣🤣🤣

I noticed that as well. You could see Gary struggling to get a word in edgewise.
Seriously you can tell Bryan is very full of himself, Gary is an after thought. Coming from a woman of experience.
Congratulations. Can't wait to see the big reveal
I love hearing your plans for the home!

Their kitchen is a gem!
Could you tell me the name of the brown paint on the kitchen cabinets and the maker of the paint? Thank you
OMG...love that kitchen
exquisite style as always, Brian. Have watched your designs and nothing has disappointed me so far. Great talent! Looking forward to how your new home will look like. Cheers!
I love the creamy color of the living area it’s beautiful, don’t paint it grayyyy, maybe just a lighter cream color if you must change it😉
The best designer, I think.
Such a beautiful space...
Brian/Gary, such a cute couple and a gorgeous home!
nothing warms my heart more than 2 millionaires having a chat about their homes lol
Envious, much?

Now we know where he got the inspiration for all the Home Lottery Houses he did.
I hope that we get a tour once he has made all of the updates.
Brian, do you realize you interrupt your partner constantly and never let him talk?
Thanks for a lovely interview! Please tell us the name of the paint color on the kitchen cabinets.
I love him, I hope I can chat with them at an airport sometime, lol.
Brian 'everything grey' Gluckstein

I can tell Bryan is very humble and isn’t full of himself at all. 😂 the sitting on the island is so cringey. 😂 beautiful home though
