@@Mediawatcher2023 Cheers 👍
Sorry i have to disagree with Neilforbes416 comment he mentioned the following *I'll bet this Xmas Bus is no longer running! Keolis Downer would most certainly have put the kybosh on this bus* But infact the festive season bus still runs into newcastle even though the former *Newcastle Station has moved* to the former wickham once stood it is good to see Newcastle progressing well thousands of people have been streaming into the city since it has been revitalised and Newcastle has come back to life again oh by the way David great video all the best.

What is the Kybosh
@@dianesoper708 "Kybosh" is an Australian slang term which means: "to ruin something".
@@neilforbes416 The buses still carry on the tradition even though the buses are run by a private company
@@neilforbes416 the phrase was used metaphorically in Irish, and the word wasn't used in English spoken in Ireland until decades after Charles Dickens used it in 1836.
Imagine doing that to a Los Angeles Metro Local Bus.
Better days then! The trains still ran to *Newcastle* station on the corner of Scott and Watt Streets, The pedestrian footbridge still crossed Wharf Road, the rail line and Scott Street, delivering people directly onto *The Wharf* or Market Street corner with Hunter Street Mall Even the observation tower was still intact! *Then it all went to shit!*
Trust you to spoil a nice caring story by having a winge.
@@dianesoper708 I was just telling it as it is. If the Liberals hadn't betrayed the traveling public, and had kept the buses in public hands, then this bus tradition would certainly have continued to this day, if not by the lady who started it, then certainly another driver would take the baton(so-to-speak) and carry on the tradition.
@@neilforbes416 someone has commented on another social media platform stating that your comment is invalid and stating your'e trying to spoil the festive seasons traditon.
@@neilforbes416 In November 2015, the Government announced its intention to incorporate Newcastle Buses & Ferries into the Newcastle Transport and that the operation of services shall be contracted to a private operator.
