If there's one thing I hate about games it's when you have ridiculous bullet sponge, remember the Division. That game was so immersive and cool to walk around in, but as soon as you were in combat it was pure shit, needing 5 mags to kill one guy etc. Stalker 2 is nowhere near that ridiculousness, but the values are a bit too high for my liking.
You can easily make the game 10X better by not making the enemies so bullet spongy and counteract that with a longer healing animation like stalker anomaly, also better AI behavior, the AI is a big step down compared to not just Anomaly but the original trilogy as well.
One thing that bothers me is no mutant hunting, let me cut legs off the mutants or tear out their eyes and sell them or eat them. Definitely see potential for a full sandbox mode with maybe dynamic missions and what not with the world changing as time goes on with faction wars.
It's crazy how you had to shoot the poltergeist *literally twenty times* with a shotgun, after hitting it with two grenades, to take it down. That's not even fun, it's just laborious. I really liked how hard difficulty felt actually fair in the older one. On Stalker 2, with the ridiculous tankiness of mutants and enemy AI which can see you fifty meters away through a milimetric gap across twenty bushes in the darkest night, I'm not sure how that's going to play. I've had like ten dudes with shotguns spawn five meters in front of me, in a camp I had just cleared.
And that right there is probably the biggest problem with the game currently. I’ve seen the devs talking about it already on discord and they’ll be making plenty of tweaks soon.
I just want GSC to add a master mode to vanilla. Was very disappointed to learn veteran difficulty lowers player damage and increases ai damage, master difficulty increased damage for everyone and made the game feel balanced, now enemies are bullet sponges now and I hate it. I want a vanilla master mode

Now you can die in a few hits and absolutely mag dump someone as they take half a mag to the chest without flinching. You need to go back and reaquaint yourself with the old stalker gamea
Dude this has been debunked YEEEEARS ago. Master has always raised player recieve damage by nearly 75% while player outgoing damage is lowered -50%. With the only difference being from Clear Sky, with some minor stat changes to the difficulty formula. The easier the difficulty, the higher damage you do. And less damage done to you. This is a myth that has existed since literally 2007...
Its nice that grok is actually trying to do something with the game, i just dont see how we can get a real gamma 2 witnout A-life in the game, it can never be anywhere near as good without it. I mean it doesnt even have a faction standing system 😂
Im very suprised crafting, base building & a bit more freedom with weapon modding never really made it into the game but for what the game is really is amazing im 30 hours deep and im absolutely loving it
Groks mod is a bit early. Until A-life is fixed and enemy AI isn't aimboting you and mutants aren't destroying you through walls, his rebalances are more punishing than they need to be. Once fixed though they'll be an immediate install for sure.

We need the dismantle weapons/weapons parts mechanic from anomaly, as well as ways to repair your guns and armor in the field, I'm not too far in the game yet but so far the only way to repair your gun is back to the technician
@jakeypants_YT I liked the complexity of the weapon system in anomaly, it's a bit overwhelming at the beginning but you get used to it, and adds depth to the game, overall playing STALKER 2 just makes me want to install anomaly again and wait a couple of months for STALKER 2 to be fixed/modded lmao.

I love PCs because of mods and all that. Growing up, it was standard. I would think that these newer games are much harder to create mods for, but the Stalker is up there with Doom with love from the fanbase.
I don't find mutants sponge, you just need better ammo. The day night cycle is too fast for sure. Weight system is also a good fix. I wanna carry my 46 vodkas

It won’t be that long. One of the Anomaly devs commented on another video that he would probably be able to port Anomaly code blueprints to UE5.1 but he’s waiting for the SDK (modkit) to get to work. Plus official mod support this time will be a game changer. Anamoly/GAMMA/EFP took so “long” because the source code had to be released when GSC went bankrupt for that to happen. That spawned the mod culture around the games and GSC took notice. When the SDK drops to edit the hardcode we should see development very quickly after.

I would love to see a magazine mod. Having to keep magazines reloaded and have to wear tactical rigs that carry different types and amounts of mags. Anything that makes it more Tarkov-like. Another one would kind of be a major overhaul. Fallout had a mod that basically gutted all the story and made the wasteland into a survival experience. I kinda hope I could get the game to have a more "zero sievert" (stalker/tarkov style top down game) gameplay loop. Also, I really do hope they add co-op. There are no games that I am aware of that are basically: Survival Co-op "Milsim" Extraction Shooter with Fallout/Skyrim/Stalker 1 level modding. That would be a dream game to me. I also just remembered another thing. I hope they make a mod that breaks down the weapon into parts. So, you have individual durability on the barrel, receiver, etc. So, if the barrel wears out, the gun is less accurate, or the gun jams more because the receiver is damaged.
All of it great ideas... But the biggest issue i have right now is the gun balance... Its so arcadey. For example skiffs pistol (in much smaller caliber) much stronger than a 45 ACP.

Sounds like a rough launch, but hopefully it tightens up and not have to rely too much on mods to optimize and rely on them to provide a lot more depth to the current in-game mechanics.

Can it remove eating?? . Eating in game make it less immersive for me. Im diving in the world of game and eating stops it for a moment. It's like pressing button somewhere on your computer case every 10 or 15 minutes that's stops you from playing it's just annoying
Really wantting just a performance fix pack, got a crash start, 2 sessions of 5 hours ok, then last day was bluescreen from hell. Also a repair mech revamp (misery wise, even anomaly like)... crafting no, maybe when a real gamma2 comes out latter, not now.
One of my only problems with the game is that there aren't enough blood suckers! I think instead of having one or two blood suckers in every small village, cave and sewer, they should make all the NPCs blood suckers. All the traders blood suckers and all enemies in general blood suckers. Also why did they make them so easy to kill? 3 full mags to the face? That's not enough! I want to go through all my ammo and my meds fighting even one! Also please devs make the knock over they can do to you last much much longer and have it take much more health away. And please make it give you a heavy bleed! Just wishing here! Thanks 👍🏼
@jakeypants_YT I just remember the original games where running into a blood sucker was a real fright because they were few and far between. I'm just glad that they did away with that and put them everywhere so now they are a health and bullet sink rather than an atmospheric horror. I think I’m gonna hold off on buying stalker 2, the game looks amazing but doesn’t seem to have the same depth as the stalker games I’m used to, I’ll stick to anomaly and gamma in the meantime lol

It's always mind boggling to me that modders have optimization mods out for games only days after release, and begs the question as to why the devs themselves couldn't just have took 3 more days to let it cook and do these optimizations themselves. Any official optimization patch usually takes longer than the modders. The work rate of modders is that much greater than paid devs? Sooner or later we need to see the Avengers of modders come together to just make their own game at this point.
Devs need to collaborate and get the OK to push out an update, modders dont need to go through any big company shenanigans. Doesn't mean either or bad or good. Just one has to go through a process, let's not forget that not only do the ok from heads of the company but also the different platforms(like consoles) need to give the ok for files to be changed.
Does anyone know how to edit game files for mutants? In the past with SOC, Lost Alpha, Pripyat and gamma I could edit files to make the mutants less TANKY. I can't progress through the story now. Bloodsuckers are almost unkillable. Dogs take 10 shots from a pistol or 5 from a shotgun. All mutants are overpowered. I can't believe I just dropped $65 on a broken game!😞😞😞😞

considering how hard the x engine is to code in. thank god ue5 is so so simple. what took a decade can be made in months. mods wise. places you can call home. general verity cause not many guns or attachments more backpacks. real sleep eat and drink machines . and at hard stuff. ya just mostly rebalancing. This is definetly a me problem, but idk kind of after playing gamma stalker 2 just felt... too easy? It just kind of doesnt give the same feel as anomaly. I felt kind of disappointed in the game, though its not the games fault. Also the seamless open world kind of feels weird. I loved the levels with loading gates approach and kind of miss that.
Understandable, but they are going to add the missing keybinds in a hotfix apparently. It really annoyed me that I couldn't change the flashlight and melee attack keybind.

I can literally make Stalker Anomaly -Gamma look just as good as Stalker 2 with graphic mods .I know the modders will make stalker 2 just as good eventually but do like the old engine better than UE5

Yeah. This will be something that comes down the line. The weapon system in Anomaly was complex. Hopefully they add some simple way to do it soon.

I think instead of having one or two blood suckers in every small village, cave and sewer, they should make all the NPCs blood suckers. All the traders blood suckers and all enemies in general blood suckers. Also why did they make them so easy to kill? 3 full mags to the face? That's not enough! I want to go through all my ammo and my meds fighting even one! Also please devs make the knock over they can do to you last much much longer and have it take much more health away. And please make it give you a heavy bleed! Just wishing here! Thanks 👍🏼

@jakeypants_YT I just remember the original games where running into a blood sucker was a real fright because they were few and far between. I'm just glad that they did away with that and put them everywhere so now they are a health and bullet sink rather than an atmospheric horror. My favorite part is when I pulled completely out of the immersion. I live for that shit. Great video btw, keep up the good work 💯

just go to nexus and select the mod you want. there will be instructions on how to download it and put it in the game. It's super easy being that it's in UE5
I think I’m gonna hold off on buying stalker 2, the game looks amazing but doesn’t seem to have the same depth as the stalker games I’m used to, I’ll stick to anomaly and gamma in the meantime lol

It's always mind boggling to me that modders have optimization mods out for games only days after release, and begs the question as to why the devs themselves couldn't just have took 3 more days to let it cook and do these optimizations themselves. Any official optimization patch usually takes longer than the modders. The work rate of modders is that much greater than paid devs? Sooner or later we need to see the Avengers of modders come together to just make their own game at this point.
Right. I am no developer but maybe it has something to do with breaking some systems they want to implement in the future like A-Life for example idk.
Devs need to collaborate and get the OK to push out an update, modders dont need to go through any big company shenanigans. Doesn't mean either or bad or good. Just one has to go through a process, let's not forget that not only do the ok from heads of the company but also the different platforms(like consoles) need to give the ok for files to be changed.

Does anyone know how to edit game files for mutants? In the past with SOC, Lost Alpha, Pripyat and gamma I could edit files to make the mutants less TANKY.
I can't progress through the story now. Bloodsuckers are almost unkillable. Dogs take 10 shots from a pistol or 5 from a shotgun. All mutants are overpowered. I can't believe I just dropped $65 on a broken game!😞😞😞😞

considering how hard the x engine is to code in. thank god ue5 is so so simple. what took a decade can be made in months. mods wise. places you can call home. general verity cause not many guns or attachments more backpacks. real sleep eat and drink machines . and at hard stuff. ya just mostly rebalancing. EDIT.. cant forget we should kinda go slow tell alll DLC is oput.. cause yay broken mods ue5 is notorious for breaking them
Very true. I think the mods we have now are simple and affective. Once the game gets some much needed updates than the mods should go hard
This is definetly a me problem, but idk kind of after playing gamma stalker 2 just felt... too easy? It just kind of doesnt give the same feel as anomaly. I felt kind of disappointed in the game, though its not the games fault. Also the seamless open world kind of feels weird. I loved the levels with loading gates approach and kind of miss that.

Understandable, but they are going to add the missing keybinds in a hotfix apparently. It really annoyed me that I couldn't change the flashlight and melee attack keybind.

With Kodiak reshade this is most photorealistic game to ever go across my huge ass 4K HDR TV. You can’t fake it will clean textures, the lighting alone in UE5 is another level.
