- I've been wanting coppery-ginger hair for years (but not permanently) and finally found the right combo with Overtone's Coloring Conditioner, so I decided to record my process!
This video was originally recorded for Instagram, so please ignore some of the commentary lol!
Just hoping Brad Mondo reacts to this video LMAO

This color looks FANTASTIC on you! The 'faded' version is perfect for your skin tone :)
Thank you!! 💕
I love this color on you!!! 😍
Looks beautiful!!
this video is so helpful and your hair looks amazing! seriously, the initial results and the faded results are both so stunning on your! \I've been wanting to go copper but not orange with overtone just like you mentioned and I would have NEVER thought to mix it with purple!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it and hope it helps! ♥️
Wow I really love what you did blending the purple in! Genius..
I'd never seen anyone mix them! That's brilliant and that's the exact color I want to have ah!! Thank you so much, you're so cute
I hadn’t either, but I’m so glad I did. Thank you! I hope you try it out! 💕
The lighter hair colors (especially the blonde) looks amazing on you! It brings out your eyes and skin tone more. But of course you look gorgeous either way 🙂 thanks for sharing!!
Yes girl! Killed it!
Wow that looks very nice. I know this is older video but the faded look is amazing. Your perfect color.
Very nice. I will definetly buy it now. Thank you!
I been wanting this color since they took off honey brown ! Thanks for posting !
That’s exactly what my thought was! I actually still have a tub of honey brown. I’m considering throwing it in the mix also to neutralize the orange a bit. Thank you for watching!
The blonde and the faded colour were so much nicer!!!
LOVE this color! Did you mix them 50/50?
Love how it faded! I've been using overtone for a couple years, but more for rose gold, light pink, pastel purple, or magenta. (Fantasy colors, essentially.) But I bought the ginger and I'm dying to try it out. (Probably going to wait until my roots grow out more, as I'm going to keep up my rose gold and pastel purple while I still have light blonde hair.) Doing my research by watching lots of videos. Great idea to combine purple in with the ginger! Might have to try that!
I've done rose gold and pastel purple as well! Loved them! I went through the same process before doing it all, so I understand lol
the faded color looks like strawberry blond! So pretty!
Thank you! It kind of does!
Absolutely Beautiful Colour
how long did it take to get your blonde hair back?
Oo!! I wonder if I could get the faded version by diluting it or leaving it in for less time 🤔
You look so pretty!!
Did you use equal parts of both colors?
Those curls! ❤
This was really helpful! Thank you
Both colors were very pretty! I’ve used 6 different colors now! I was a natural strawberry blonde, but age has taken that away and now I’m turning Grey, which Overtone doesn’t color to well! So I bleach then color....but now I know how to get back my original color!
Thank you! I’m so glad you’ve found something that works for you. I would love to try a strawberry blonde color!
Beautiful!!
Just put a little purple in the conditioner!
The faded color looks AMAZING!!!
I definitely used their purple conditioner more often after the initial color lol
That color looks amazing on you. I loved it the first wash so deep and copper.
M K thank you so much, love! ♥️
It came out so pretty! You’re making me want to try now, I was confused at first about the purple & ginger but it made sense at the end. I had black hair & bleached it so it came out like a coppery color which I hated at first but then kept getting so many compliments on so I think I might want to actually go ginger haha. Right now I have faded brown hair dye over the orange that was there after the bleaching so I think overtone would be perfect to try since it’s not permanent. I would love to see you try black or the golden brown!
Thank you! It’s definitely something fun to try. I could never dare to do black lol, but golden brown might not be a bad option
Love it!
I hope you kept it, looks SO much healthier than the blonde. Looks gorgeous on you!
It was post beach, so definitely super dry, but I’ve gone back and forth. Currently ginger again lol
Jaylene V. Great, love it!
Hi! I LOVE the faded color. I want to try this temporarily I have very similar hair color. Does it come all the way out eventually or did you have to lift the color chemically?
Thank you! The color fades a good amount over time, but it does leave a bit of yellow “stain” on your hair. I did get the color lifted a bit, but only because I was touching up my color and roots, not necessarily to remove the color.
This is what my hair color looked like before I got it touched up.

This is Gorgeous 🎉
I love this colour was it the extreme purple overtone plus ginger half of each?
It was vibrant purple!
I’m trying to dye my hair this color you have from overtone! Which exact purple did you use? This video was so helpful btw:)
Hey! I used the vibrant purple! 😊
The curls 🥰🥰👌
My pride and joy lol. Thank you!
What ratio of ginger and purple did you use?
Amanda Davalos 1:1, but I think I definitely could’ve used more purple to neutralize the yellow undertones of the ginger
that colour really suits you
Did you feel like it toned your roots copper as well?? Scared I’m gonna have regular mousy blonde roots and the rest orange. But you look amazing 😍
It was honestly hard to tell. My roots were a bit grown out and they're a darker, more brown blonde shade. Thank you so much! 💕
I might of missed it but what was the ratio you used? Looks great! I was going to mix golden brown with ginger. Never would of thought of purple. Thx
I definitely forgot to mention it, but it was 1:1. I also considered mixing with golden brown, but I’m glad this worked out. Thanks for watching!
How did it wash out?
I can't say I let it fade completely, but it did leave my hair pretty yellow. It wasn't too hard to tone out when I touched up my hair though. This was a picture of the color before getting it touched up ----> instagram.com/p/CFBGZinnoD_/?igshid=51uc9udxa6dp
If you keep the purple and add vibrant blue it'll be more neutral and not so bright. Blue cancels orange purple cancels yellow. It's a VERY yellow based color.
Whoa really? I have natural red hair that now turns into a dark... Strawberry blonde??? I been trying to do an actual copper color... But it always comes out too orange...
Beautiful
Thank you!
Faded one suits you better
Hi Merida!!! 💗🙏🌺
Funny! I thought the same!
You're gorgeous
Its copper. That's what it's suppose to look like...
