As someone who is just trying to get into the stock market, i hate the idea of flat fees for transactions. I feel forced to buy more at once than im comfortable with because its more efficient that way. Its specifically why i didnt choose Flatex, but it seems they are so convinced of their model that they are making Degiro use it too. I would be much happier with a % fee, even if its a bit high.
Hi. I am pretty new in the trading world. I have 2 accounts (degiro and interactive brokers). I tried to understand how interactive brokers work but is so complex that I gave up. :( Now, I am about to make the first investment in Degiro even being aware of the higher costs and commissions. At least, I'll use Degiro until I feel more familiar with the trading world. It's a pity that we can't have the best of 2 worlds - user-friendly platform and low commissions. :) Anyway, is better to invest in Degiro than not invest at all.
Hi Maria, thank you for sharing your experience. Yes, I agree that Interactive Brokers is not user friendly at all. As long as you understand the fees you pay for using one or the other I think that it is fine :) And if you think that the fees are too high you can always feel a bit better by knowing that if you would invest through your bank the commissions would be significantly higher than Degiro :)
Hola!! Sí, si quieres invertir en el IBEX 35 Degiro es de los más competitivos. Para invertir en USA no, pero en el IBEX 35 sigue estando bien :) Saludos!
Hey Robert. Thank you for the video. I just open an account with Degiro, so far I haven't invested but now due this I am wondering if is better to go to interactive Brooker. Any tips?
Hi Abel, as I mentioned, I am not using Degiro anymore and switched to Interactive Brokers. Fees are lower to invest in US stocks. To invest in European stocks it depends on the market.
Hola! Excelente video.
