My husband and I now living in Málaga moving from Los Angeles. Visited last year, loved what we saw. Met a great Spanish family on a bus on way to Semana Santa and have become great friends due to FB, email, FT, etc. The people are very friendly with NO attitude. My husband is white, I am mixed-race and no one constantly staring at us as they do in Los Angeles. Love the food especially at the market shown. Visit Málaga - you will love it.
I spent every winter in Torremolinos near Malaga since moving back to Germany. Your tour of Malaga was the best I’ve heard, there is so much to do and see in Malaga a video would need to be hours long
Well done, really enjoyable watch. My wife and I visited Málaga for a day from Mijas pueblo via public transport, (bus and train). The journey was inexpensive, relatively short and hassle free. Once there we wandered around aimlessly, whatever we discovered was just a happy accident. we saw a lot of what you featured and also the new harbour area, this I especially enjoyed. the juxtaposition between the very modern harbour and the very old fit together very well. we can't wait to come again
What a fun documentary. Imagine my surprise when you featured the Vinos de Malaga in your video. We have been there every time we visit and love it. We love the market too. Tourists don’t buy much fish but all the fresh vegetables and candies. Such fun. Now, there’s a few famous cafes. I’m thinking El Pimpi but there’s several others that are truly wonderful
WOW This is an excellent and detailed explanation of Malaga. I am looking forward to my coming visit to the beautiful port in the Costa del Sol. Thanks a lot.
Hi, It was about time to have a documentary this style. Congratulations! I live in Málaga for the last 45 years & i appreciate it a lot so i can send it to my foreign friends all over. Thank you very much. Pd. If you need any information about Málaga, Torremolinos, & some villages like Casarabonela, Carratraca... & inland landscapes, i´ll be pleased to help you. Cheers!
Thank you so much texidodj !! We're so exited to share our city (we're a couple, she is from the US and I am from Malaga). I'm so glad you're living in this wonderful city. Nice to meet you!!!
Where is a good resource, maybe you, to understand all the various neighborhoods and their benefits? We have enjoyed Malaga twice for a month at a time over the past few years and love the city but, of course, we see downtown and the tourist areas. We stay in Benalmádena near Arroyo de la Miel so we wonder where the culture as well as non-tourist (mostly) but full of life neighborhoods might exist to discover between Fuengirola and Malaga (we love the Cercanía!). We’ve discussed the heart of Malaga, Torre Molinos, and the other cities but it would take years, I’m sure, to understand some of the nuances you might be able to share. Oh, we are in California having spent most of our lives here. I am learning Spanish but my wife teaches it here. God willing, after COVID passes we can think about plans. We miss Spain.
Lovely! You are a natural - I would very much like to see/hear more of the locals singing - is so atmospheric and it's not the sort of thing which happens in UK much :) I only stayed in Málaga a couple of times, but always
Thank you so much for your impressions on Málaga! I'll be coming to Málaga in two months for a couple of months and I'm so much looking forward to it. I really liked your emphasis on the historical and cultural/food part, all the other touristical videos just show all the typical tourist attractions. I'll be there for the Semana Santa by chance, I didn't know I'll encounter such a culltural event. :)
Semana Santa is one of the most importants cultural events in Malaga. It's a very busy time so maybe it would be difficult to get to all the places you see in the video (i recommend you to do it in the mornings...). You will be surprised. Hope you have a great time here.
Meneron M. Thank you so much for your kind words. As Amaya Jiménez Martínez says, it will be difficult to get into these places during Holy Week (maybe during your mornings). Anyway, you'll enjoy this season of the year so much. It's powerful and different from other events. If you need anything from Malaga, please contact us. We'll be more than happy to help you!!! Nice to meet you both!! :) (Pedro)
We watched your video to have a look at Malaga and consider a visit in 2020. It was really informative and we thoroughly enjoyed the views of the city as presented. We will find these places when we visit. David aka superdad4sure
Wow, this video is great! I absolutely love these detailed inside stories about a place I'm about to visit. I moved to Barcelona almost two years ago from Los Angeles and I have not been to the south yet. I'm very excited to visit this week!
Great video and nice view of the city and some background on it's history and the lifestyle of people there. You are very lovely and make a great video presenter, great job!
What I still don't understand about the Spaniards, and after kicking out the Muslims, is this; WHY did they keep the Arabic names for their cities, buildings, streets and mostly everything including the region's name "Andalusia". It seems like the Arabs discovered that land and named it. No Spaniards or any indigenous people existed before their arrival???
I was born in Malaga, my hood is El Palo ( the Stick ). My city is a treasure, i myself, when someone takes me to a new place in a ride, feel amazed at how ashtonishingly gorgeous is the place i was born in. You are invited, but dont fuck around, or well give you a stick up, haha, get it? Ok, my bad. So thats that, Viva Malaga!.

Song title for the introduction of the video?
I want to live in this beautiful city, is it possible to find work teaching English and I have only basic Spanish.
I heard you say you're from the USA. I live in CA, where are you from and how did you get there? I know a plane but why? LOL

Nice introduction to Malaga, thanks! I doubt though that the processions in the North are more "sedated" however...maybe, more sedate (?)
Sorry for asking but what's the name of the last song, which is sang by these old women?O
Евгений Кудряшов and
Thank you. I would have preferred no Vocal Fry. I know it's 'cool' but to my ear it's 'old lady'.

I don't know...but I think it's better this way. Respect for the past.
It's a nice layer cake.
Your eyes lady, distracting me from really listening to what you were saying! :)
She's cute and doesn't talk in that annoying upspeak white girl accent. More women like her are needed in this world!
did any one tell you to talk less and show more
Hablas mucho y enseñas pocas cosas en malaga tenemos muchas cosas que ver y no has enseñado nada
Way to much time photographing the narrator. If this is a promotional video of the narrator, retitle the video so we choose something of Malaga.
