I totally feel you on feeling frazzled while hosting! It takes me so long to be normal once the event starts. I'm planning on next time giving myself at least 10 minutes before people arrive to meditate or relax by myself. Hope that helps!

You’re an event planner at heart, so it’s hard for you to flip out of that mode. You might need a few pizza delivery get togethers to relax with your guests.
I started following you because I also enjoy planning events and you give me inspiration.
the last party I planned and hosted was a month ago and I was the only one in charge of food and drinks. I felt like half of the time at the party I was busiy heating up the food, making sure it doesn't burn, and serving everything including individual drinks- so I didn't have time to be fully present in the moment and just enjoy the party.
Even though everyone complimented me on the hosting, saying it was a stunning event, I thought "was it worth it?"
So my next event is going to be a chill brunch, where each guest is bringing something to eat or drink, and hopefully I'll feel less stressed about hosting and more like a guest myself.
