That's a lovely video. After reading a paper on Theatre of the Oppressed it was so nice to see some work in action.

Yes, great record. But I don't think about Boal's Theatre is a maieutic theatre. I think that Boal's theatre is a dialectical theatre, a dialogical theatre and a pedagogical (Paulo Freire) theatre. I Instead of Socratic maieutic theatre, perhaps at most, we should use the term dialectical theatre...

Actual percentage of self-identified homosexuality in USA is 3.8%, I hardly think it will be higher elsewhere. Anyway, who is counting? Seriously, though, who is oppressed these days? I mean outside of Islamic countries?

LGBT+ people in Poland for example are still oppressed. And most postcommunism countries I think.

Have you ever been asked to leave a store because you were holding hands with the person you love? Or refused health care because of who you were born as? Do people tell your children that their parents are disgusting and need to change? Take a second and think about it. Please

So, by the same logic... If say 5% of people like drinking real ale, but nobody knows about their particular passion, then they are being oppressed. And it is everyone elses duty to stand up for them and advocate on their behalf!?!?!?

I get what Dave said, and in fact I need to know something else. Why should people define themself only by their sexuality? I mean, why should we focus on that particular part of our existance? It' a bit regressive, we are complex being and our primal urges aren't that important. Also you can get normal drama classes and it'll be the same.
