I wonder if Tesco will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year (2022) at Frogmore Wharf having opened in 1992. Does anyone know what month? I always wanted to see videos or photos of it being built but could never find anything. I was working at Tesco Ricky between 2001-2005 and remember the celebration of the 10th anniversary when most of the promises had been broken like not being 24 hours and being closed on a Sunday. Not many people know that there are still underground pipes by the delivery gate running into the council offices next door. The plan was to have a Tesco petrol filling station as well but never came to and don't think it ever will. I think the council and residents objections might get in the way, however, this is Tesco. I know how they work. Tudor Parade is the example and if Three Rivers are that strapped for cash, a multi-billion pound company will "chu-ching" in the chairman's eyes.
I remember the store, I wasn't around when this was filmed but I remember it closing, it was a general goods store, filled with tools, string, everything you could ever need

Are you Bill? Keith Tibbles asked.
@@ThreeRiversMuseum No. My name is Mark.
Any idea what kind of business 'Serves-U-Rite' is/was?
It was a general store much like FW Woolworths, but on a smaller scale. M & Co now reside on where the Rickmansworth Woolworths used to be.

My last memories of Rickmansworth or "Ricky" are from this time.
Hasn't changed much it seems
