Just discovered your reviews. No frills, straight to the point, very efficient. Love it. Breath of fresh air in this exhausting reviewtainment industry.
Thank you. No nauseating, face-pulling, “look at me, not the guitar”, Metal/Blues-Rock “noodling” 😡. Just a very clear, professional video showcasing the pedal itself. 👏🏻👏🏻
Best review of this pedal ever and I've seen a lot of them. You get to the point right away and the best part is that you actually get great sounds out of it! Other people make this pedal sound horrible but you make it sound like a very useful effects pedal. Plus I like how you added some dirt to it too, sounded incredible! Keep up the great work cheers!
I love the Axis. I was messing around with one in a guitar store, a rare left-handed model. I came so close to buying it and I'm still kicking myself for not getting it.
Sounds more like it was straight out of a Mega Drive game. The Mega Drive sounded much better for rock/guitar sounds. The SNES sounded much better for orchestral sounds.
I’d love to hear someone play the synth parts of The Cars “Just What I Needed” on here. I’m sure there’s a Moog synth setting on there somewhere right? If not, that’s a huge miss.
If you want to mix your lead tone with the synth- put the distortion before the Synth. If you want to make the Synth distorted, put the distortion after the synth.
I find that things that track usually sound and feel far better before dirt. The closer to the front of the chain, the better. Compression is probably the only thing I like before things like the SY1, Pog, Oc3, etc.
I bought one of those things. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I've had real guitar synths and keyboard synth. That thing was one very pale imitation.
Electro-Harmonix SYNTH9 Synthesizer Machine is better? ua-cam.com/video/3qebnkmvjiw/v-deo.html .Or just this ua-cam.com/video/oZKVPzRyn50/v-deo.html Electro-Harmonix C9 Organ Machine...
none of these pedals do some nice soft pads like vangelis and boards of canada. there is the one I forget the name, but they all do this garbage funk filter sound
Thank for playing a range of stuff & quickly going thru settings & NOT talking forever lol. You’re the man
I cannot see any use for this pedal. I want it. 😂
First musical demo of this pedal I've seen do far...
You're the best.
Stay safe n healthy...
Cheers, James. Thanks for tuning in. All the best to you. :)

Just bought this…and I’m grateful to you for this amazing demo. You “get it” and it’s awesome.
I love how you did something musical with all the patches.
Wow a great demo that’s NOT 20-50 minutes long. I really appreciate it. You did a great job showing it off.
Just bought this pedal after watching your demonstration. It’s a great Toy that’ll give me tons of fun!! 👍

I’ve always wanted one of those micro Marshall stacks you have in the background. Pretty cool pedal.

Best demo of this pedal on YT. Great sounding pedal, really musical and fun.
Excellent demo. Perfect mix of explanation and sounds. Thank you.
Great demo! Quick and to the point. Now I want one . . .
A lifetime of fun in here, it's the BBC radiophonic workshop in a box; add some extreme dd and you can pull off the old Dr Who theme
Sweet Music Man guitar and awesome Synth pedal!!! Huge fan of both!!!
Good on you, JB. I hope all's well where you are.
Brett Kingman Thank you!! Good here! Stay safe!!
I love the Axis. I was messing around with one in a guitar store, a rare left-handed model. I came so close to buying it and I'm still kicking myself for not getting it.
@@etherboy3540 Great guitars! That sucks! I'm sure you will find another.
Great demo, really well played guitar and what a beautiful guitar to look at! Thanks for sharing.
I was hoping you'd demo this pedal. I can see it would come in very useful for home recording. Good stuff!
Breadth depth musicality and brevity with great clarity. Well made, thanks.
I can't wait for this to arrive! in our band, the MASSIVE (in my head) crowds are going to love this!!!! dry sound.... omg
Great video went through the settings, in such a short time very concise 👍
Good morning Brett. This pedal has a lot of fun and useful tone on tap. Thanks for the video. Glad you had fun with it.
Morning, Toney! Thank you. Yes, it's a pity it has to go back. Oh well. Rock on :)
Great introductory demo, amazing unit. Cheers, Brett.
4:20 that Hammond/Leslie sound, my favorite
You had me at dry sound
🤣🤣🤣
Yeah right.
My favorite effect pedal after the Roland jazz chorus clone pedal I think by boss
Bravissimo i tuoi video sulle demo sono sempre i migliori.
That first riff sounds like it was straight out of a Super Nintendo game!
I thought the same lol, play some heavy riffs and you'll get doom soundtrack
Sounds more like it was straight out of a Mega Drive game. The Mega Drive sounded much better for rock/guitar sounds. The SNES sounded much better for orchestral sounds.
Fun pedal, but I’m not sure I could afford the matching Music Man :-). This set up is crying out for cover of Van Halen’s I’ll Wait
Thanks for showing us this pedal, very versatile !
Best UA-cam video for this pedal. Many thanks sir.
The dry sound on this SY-1 pedal is really good!
As soon as I buy it they will come out with the sy-2 with more features and half the price.
Burgs, the "Who Are You" ARP synth sound is dying to get out of that pedal. You're getting close around the 6:22 mark!
80s TV show in a stomp box.
Haha. Yes! If only I could get it do the Hill St. Blues theme. Then I'd just sit back and chill. Cheers, Todd!
Brett Kingman Kinda sounds like Knight Rider meets Automan Don’t ask me how I remember those shows😁
I’d love to hear someone play the synth parts of The Cars “Just What I Needed” on here. I’m sure there’s a Moog synth setting on there somewhere right? If not, that’s a huge miss.
5:05 that's the exact sound you may need to emulate Contra's first stage (NES Game).
I dig these videos.
0:33 Letters From Earth - Black Sabbath
Oh god now i need this
I would buy it just to play Lazy and other stuff from DP!
Hello, Can you recommend a setting to get a sound like "Those Shoes - The Eagles" ... similar to a 'Golden Throat' sound. Thanks.
Great demo thanks
Great pedal! Lots of fun!
Great video. Thanks.
any idea how will this pedal place in my board? I currently have a noise gate with a built in effects loop and all my dirt pedal is in.
If John Lord and Richie Blackmore had a love child, it would be this pedal. I see some serious Deep Purple shit in this. Awesome!
Have you tried this pedal with vocal input ?
Put a bit of Reverb on that Sucker 😂😂👌 just coz it's Good Fun ! 😂
Loved the video that was great
Do any amp model pedals do what thing does?
Nice pedal need to get one 🎶
I could hear some Europe, MiSex, Gary Nueman to name a few blasting out through that.. nice one 👍❤️👍
I'm having trouble with lead 1 setting 1. I get no tracking above the 12th fret on the high E string. Bass response is really heavy.
Pretty cool.
I think I've found the void that's been missing in my life
Me too
Like nr. 420 - like a boss!
Great video - crazy pedal.
Can you wire this up so it sends your dry signal on to your guitar amp, but send the synth tones to a PA?
Oh, No!I think I need a bigger Pedalboard. That thing sounds amazing!
cheers for the video ima buying one
Curious, I though the guitar was an EVH woflgang, till he said it was an EB. They look identical. Anyone know the diff?
How come mine don’t sound like that! 😂
How’s the tracking on this
How much does it lag?
Yup.
Thanks. Have you tried this pedal with an acoustic pickup? does the tracking respond well? primarily wanting Pad effects. Best
I want one!!!
Awesome
Sounds great Brett. Is it best to place this pedal in front of the amp or FX loop?
Great demo! Just to confirm, is the sy1 at the beginning of your signal chain in this demo?
Sorry but are you distorting/verbing the dry guitar sound only or the synth sound too, or both even?
you can't save anything with this, so every tune you have to tweak things for different sounds?
Brett is the best
This or the SY-200?
Starfleet, Blakes 7
Hello Brett do you like the FM3 verses axefx 3?
It burns …… Aarrrhhh. 👍😆
take a look at Electro-Harmonix SYNTH9 Synthesizer Effect Pedal they got like 9 other kind this boss one cool to
You recommend placing the synth before the distortion?
If you want to mix your lead tone with the synth- put the distortion before the Synth. If you want to make the Synth distorted, put the distortion after the synth.

@@LeviBulger I'd actually like to hear the compressed synth.
very cool 😝👍❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Guitar Dundee!
Nice! What's the current draw (milliAmps)? And does it do a "swell" sound, eliminating the pick attack?
Yes use an expression pedal
Thanks! Also check out my recent video which features the SY-1
I love mine got it brand new for 184 dollars flat
6:16
GTA Vice City theme
Alien
I bought one of those things. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I've had real guitar synths and keyboard synth. That thing was one very pale imitation.
🤙
I've got a sy 1000 for sale.
I don't need a pedal for wind.
Good review-Great sounds but a battery eater.
Electro-Harmonix SYNTH9 Synthesizer Machine is better? ua-cam.com/video/3qebnkmvjiw/v-deo.html .Or just this ua-cam.com/video/oZKVPzRyn50/v-deo.html Electro-Harmonix C9 Organ Machine...
Might have to throw one of these in my junk draw for rainy days
none of these pedals do some nice soft pads like vangelis and boards of canada. there is the one I forget the name, but they all do this garbage funk filter sound
Can you just stick with the boss synt. And stop showing off .
WOW, that sounds atrocious.
