I keep trying to tell myself to smile that it happened instead of crying that it's over, but I'm having to combine the two. Perfect song and video choices. Thanks for your sacrifices, Tom.
It really has been an emotional week. It was hard for me not to cry when Tom did his speech and whatnot, but then finding out later in the week Linsey Read was also retiring, I couldn't help but cry. They both have made a huge impact in monster trucks and fans
At least apparently Max-D is still going… yeah sad Tom is done but at least we can always honor and remember Tom Meents got his final tour of destruction T-Shirt…
It feels like I've been a fan of Tom since the day I was born. As a tiny kid, I saw him flip Monster Patrol in the Delta Center. 15 years later, as a high school senior, I finally got to see him in person again at my first World Finals. Then I was fortunate enough to be there for both his skills championships, the massive leap at WFXX, his last freestyle title, and his last World Finals appearance. I always knew the ride can't last forever, but it's still hard to believe that Tom is done. Tom, if you ever see this, thanks for the decades of memories that you gave me and my family out on the track.
Life is a wild ride. Always wonderful to be around people who get that, and live life as wide open as possible. We may not live long, but the secret to happiness is to live every moment we do have in full awareness that it will all be over someday. Live wide open.
I've come back to watch this video several times and it keeps popping up in my recommendations, every time I see this I watch it and just think to myself "This is a masterpiece" Thanks for this video, it has really helped me think of Tom's retirement in a whole new light.
@@nickcrim6735 Eh, it is debatable if Monster Trucks would of come into existence without Bob Chandler. Personally, I think they would have, just at a later date.
Man this makes me sad all over again but congrats to Tom on an insane career 🔥🔥🔥 I still hope he makes a one night only comeback from time ti time but aint no way he deserves to go out on an injury 😔😔😔
I’m really gonna miss Thomas. My most favorite memory is when he did the double backflip in Gillette Stadium and I got to see it in person. I’m really gonna miss him. He was a legend in monster jam. He stayed longer than denis Anderson. 😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭🥺😢🥺🥺🥺😭🥺😢
Beautiful work. Thank you.
OMG Thanks man!!!!!
if you cried your a good person😪

I have never cried to Monster Jam before but i both choked and cried while making this
I just hate for him. That unlike Dennis, HE PLANNED his retirement. And was forced to cut it short.

Absolutely 🔥🔥🔥 And honestly, Bob Chandler too cuz if it wasn't for him, we probably wouldn't even have monster trucks
I wish Feld Entertainment did a sequel to the documentary "The True Life of Tom Meents."
