- We served tea, with ceremony, Jasmine, Wulong, Puer, the green, half-green half black, and black tea aged and fermented 50 years. We smelled the tea, brewed the tea, tasted the tea, chatted about everything and nothing, laughed a lot, then Gary suggested to Chaplain Marc that we end the ceremony with chanting Heart Sutra.
We are in a realm of peace, joy and carefree.
So much has happened since this video, since Gary Snyder visited the campus. Gary is still strong and well and laughing, every time I talk to him on the phone. I'm still standing and laughing, enjoying be alive, no matter what has happened! I hope everyone in this video remembers what they heard, said, felt, and did, to themselves and to others. I hope everyone here lives at peace with their conscience. Heart Sutra is about heart, words flowing from the heart, deeds guided by heart, a good heart, a heart beating with truth, not burdened with lies or torture. Karma is about action, deed, consequence of what we do and say, to ourselves, to others.
