John Deere 3520 Service Part 2: Air filter and Fuel filters

I do apologize for the sub-par footage, I am still getting used to the new camera mount. Anyway, In this part, you get to watch me spill diesel all over the garage floor.

When you clean the water separator, don't do what he did. There is a red float in the plastic bowl that is supposed to float on top of any water that might get captured in the bowl so you can then see that the float has risen and there's water in it. I never saw his, but I'm guessing he threw his float away when he poured the bowl contents in that bucket of oil. Make sure you put the float back in the plastic bowl and over the protrusion on the bottom of the screen inside the bowl.

Does the fuel tank need to be completely empty to change the fuel filter, am I gonna leaks a shit ton of diesel or if I just shut off the shut off valve it should only leak what’s in the filter then right?
