It’s a pleasure to see she still rocks her style. Music has guided my life and been so important in it and I can see here that Sarah has done the same. She was cool back then and she’s just as cool today. Love it❤️
excellent, keepin the faith. love it, done my 1st scooter rally in 26 yrs, went to kelso on a honda cb 1300, was made very welcome, miss my old lambretta but hey ho. scootering gets into the blood, along with all the music which i never stopped listening to.
Very nice interview top girl like it 👌i married my skinhead bird in 1992 … still madly in love with her …still love the scene from punk to northern soul I have bikes now ,but I looking at getting a Lambretta again for ride outs … they have moved on now in technology with the likes of casa, ray speed and the like .still love the attitude and music….
She is a amazing lady indeed ! … regarding getting back into the scene - it’s true what they say once you’ve been in it - it never leaves you , once a mod always a mod ! 👍
Great video and interview and a lovely lady. "It never leaves ya".....that sums it up exactly !!! I did all the rallies back in the 80's,hung around with some skinheads and got into the scene etc... then got so disillusioned with it all so I packed it all in and haven't sat on or ridden a scooter since that time but am seriously looking at changing that !!! I still buy, listen to,collect ska, skinhead reggae, rock steady, lovers rock, two tone and OI on vinyl and love seeing bands playing the clubs and pubs etc.... I also listen to lots of other genre's on vinyl too. I have a 19yr daughter who adores the skinhead scene, look, music and fashions and has a shaved head with the feather side bits . She likes nothing more than getting dressed up and dancing the night away !!! Being into the scene has made her more outgoing and confident in her self. We're out tonight watching/listening to a covers band called the Eton Rivals....really looking forward to that. Take care all 👍👍👍
what a lovely lady and so sensible. Just to say......that went on a scooter run to Gt Yarmouth (it was 82 or 83) and around 12,000 scooterists from all over the country. Everyone was just having a good time and hardly any trouble at all over the bank holiday weekend. ITV news camera crew were rather upset that all they could film was happy people and they did not want to show that on the news (on a bank holiday). So they paid a group of scooterists to damage a car and turn it over onto its roof. The following year we went to Weymouth......very uncomfortable going through the new forest which had loads of motorbike gangs who were enjoying giving us a load of abuse (but cause no trouble) !!! We got to weymouth and booked into a B&B that was really friendly and the owners daughter was about 22 yrs old. We decided to walk into the town for a drink and the daughter decided to come with us. Yet again everyone was in a really good mood and the police were being really friendly. A HMS ship (maybe a frigate) came into the harbour and it was nice seeing one close up. We settled into a pub that we liked and it was a really good evening with the scooterists just being a bit loud and singing. At about 9-10pm we heard a loud noise and could hear breaking glass....the scooterists ran outside the pub and a small group of sailors were running off. They had put a scooterist through the window of a 'off licence's' window. So some scooterist went after the sailors and others went to help the scooterist's ,who the sailors had attacked them. The Police and a Ambulance turned up (luckily the lad only had a few minor cuts) and the police were told what had happened. The other scooterists came back and told the police that they had chased them back to the HMS vessel. The next day the police had changed totally......they were being as awkward as they could and made it clear we were not welcome. We asked one if they had nicked the sailors from the night before, they said no sailors were in the town and scooterists had damaged the off-licence through fighting among themselves. The local radio were saying the same story and the girl from the B&B rang the radio to tell them it was not true & it was sailors she saw running off from the incident. The captain of the ship (before quickly leaving the harbour !!!) denied any sailors were involved in the trouble in Weymouth and that no sailors had gone on shore during its short stay. So it must of been done by 'Sawdust Sailors' who sneaked off the boat to cause trouble in Weymouth, to upset the calm peaceful scooterist's and vanished like Houdini's back on board to sail into the distant horizon like Phantoms in sailor suits.
im surprised that mum never liked mods, but liked skins , in the 60s skinheads fought with bikers as well they even fought with hells angels 69 i knew some skinheads who was known as the Smethwick mob , can remember one of my friends who was a member of smethwick telling me the had lots of fights with bikers, so im very curious as to why she was like that lol
