Perhaps the biggest shame is how much focus our lack of skill took away from the music, voice actors, and apparently even fan animators’ creative work... This is gorgeous and cleverly made - end of story. 🙂

Honestly, I always felt like Grim wasn’t being scary to kill you, he just had a good time being scary. He enjoys scaring people like how some people get enjoyment from pulling pranks.
For everyone who's saying the original sucks, may I remind you that it was their FIRST time doing animation (not to be confused with claymation musicals) and it was a different style of animation than people thought it would be. Also it wasn't professionally done. So chill, it wasn't bad. This is a great animation, keep up the good work! ❤️

Jesus, some people actually don’t understand how hard it is to animation and how long it takes? The random encounters aren’t very used to animation, but I’m saying their animation was great! When people say “‘Oh, so much better than the original” They tried their best and tried to make us happy with something new! Actually their animation was great, really smooth and flowing. It was the art that was the problem. Here the art is leagues better, although the original still has better animation considering this isn't proper animating.

Sure, maybe it doesn't fit most of your high standards, but I thought it was pretty good considering it was their first time (having NEVER drawn or animated before). Then look up the definition of constructive criticism, encourage them, and help them improve. Surely you kids can do that? Don't hit them when they're down and be respectful. I love the song by random encounters. I honestly didn't like the animation of the original, but I think it was amazing to attempt. Animation is a difficult thing to do and they made a risky choice. I just love the way you made this and I'm glad you understand that the original animators tried their best

For all the people saying " This is better than the original 😂". Random Encounters is known for their musicals. It's very rare to see them do an animation. That's why the original looks how it is. They put time, effort, and dedication into Cuphead the musical. This video animation wouldn't exist without Random Encounters. Btw you did an amazing job👍😊🙂

Ok so I'm seeing a lot of comments and replies saying the original was bad this one is so much better well this is what I have to say. They both worked hard on the videos animating/animatronic isn't as easy as you think and for the original being their first animation it's really good and for you people who hate on it well... can you do better? This video is an improvement from the original video. I am NOT saying that the original Cuphead Musical was terrible, what I am saying is that the original did fine pacing and the voice acting and song was really great, but the animation was the weakest part. This video remade it in a more natural way. Great job, both of you!

Dang, this is amazing! The characters are perfectly on-model, and if/when it’s actually animated, I’m sure it would look way better then it already does. And yes, I did read your comment. I’m not gonna lie, the original animation was bad (At least in my opinion), but I don’t despise them for it or anything, I agree they were trying something new, and that’s very brave of them. Honestly, I think they should’ve gotten someone like you to animate it in the first place. It would’ve allowed them to focus more on the actual musical aspect, possibly making the video turn out better in both animation AND music.
Ok, no. stop right there. I get you dont want people bashing random encounters (which they shouldnt), but dont downplay your own work. ive considered what you said and i can still say within reason your animatic is overall more pleasing to watch. Yes, their animation was more closely timed to the music, and they animated it fully, which is a plus but your backgrounds had a more hand drawn look to them, and a few of the deviations you made i actually liked more than the original. and thats on top of just your overall drawing skill being good. Yes, animation takes more time....but that doesnt really matter. you could draw a man in a day that looks better than a week long drawing from someone whose never picked up a pencil. Time doesnt always equal quality. On top of that, Its going to take a long time to do something if you have very little experience doing it, so you cant quantify the overall....goodness of their animation by time or by the fact that its animated while yours is just an animatic. That would be like me saying everything you do is better than any drawing i made because yours is an animatic and what i do is just a single picture. You can respect and appreciate what they did, you can like the animation they put time and heart into, what im saying is more about you and less about them Ive repeated myself a bit, but plain and simple what im trying to say is, what you did is really good. if you genuinely think random encounters did better, fine, but dont say its just because its animated or because they worked long and hard on it. Thats a terrible reason.

random encounters let people do stuff like this, just some fans think like this, not everyone is the same. I love the song by random encounters. I honestly didn't like the animation of the original, but I think it was amazing to attempt. Animation is a difficult thing to do and they made a risky choice. I just love the way you made this and I'm glad you understand that the original animators tried their best

This is awesome but I don't think that's a reason for the others to bash the original. They tried, like TRIED and if you ain't stupid then you'll know that it's their first time and for a first timer, it's actually good like seriously, a lot of you(incliding me) would do worse than that! They both worked hard on the videos animating/animatronic isn't as easy as you think and for the original being their first animation it's really good and for you people who hate on it well... can you do better? Dang, this is amazing! The characters are perfectly on-model, and if/when it’s actually animated, I’m sure it would look way better then it already does.
And yes, I did read your comment. I’m not gonna lie, the original animation was bad (At least in my opinion), but I don’t despise them for it or anything, I agree they were trying something new, and that’s very brave of them. Honestly, I think they should’ve gotten someone like you to animate it in the first place. It would’ve allowed them to focus more on the actual musical aspect, possibly making the video turn out better in both animation AND music.

Yes, their animation was more closely timed to the music, and they animated it fully, which is a plus
but your backgrounds had a more hand drawn look to them, and a few of the deviations you made i actually liked more than the original. and thats on top of just your overall drawing skill being good.
Yes, animation takes more time....but that doesnt really matter. you could draw a man in a day that looks better than a week long drawing from someone whose never picked up a pencil. Time doesnt always equal quality. On top of that, Its going to take a long time to do something if you have very little experience doing it, so you cant quantify the overall....goodness of their animation by time or by the fact that its animated while yours is just an animatic. That would be like me saying everything you do is better than any drawing i made because yours is an animatic and what i do is just a single picture.
You can respect and appreciate what they did, you can like the animation they put time and heart into, what im saying is more about you and less about them
