Now that we have understanding about reality TV and how manufactured it is now and how edited everything is, of course we look at scenes differently, especially when some of the girls have come out and explain themselves about certain situations that have happened.

That situation with the hypothermia REALLY upsets me! 😡 it's a competition and had she have said I need to get out before they got the shot THEY LIKED, they would've said "You're difficult! You need to be able to handle the fact that you're going to have to work in uncomfortable situations where you have to push through!" And then placing the blame on her while she's literally freezing and laid out on the ground. Digusti

And I was so confused 😅 because I watched the show and I don’t remember him being nice or better than the rest of the crew. He was rude and disrespectful to the contestants and he was just as bad as Tyra and the rest of the team. He’s not innocent at all.

I think they deliberately planned certain photoshoots to get a reaction out of the girls. There’s no way two contestants from different seasons had friends that died and then they later had death themed photo shoots. That can’t be coincidence. They did little slick things like constantly commenting on Keenyahs weight (from cycle 4) and then having her protray gluttony and an elephant in one photoshoot. It’s crazy bc she wasn’t even fat.

What’s worse is that they framed it as “training” for the “real industry”. If you can’t handle this, you’ll never make it in the REAL modeling world, blah blah blah. Yeah, no. In the modeling industry, you have every choice as to what jobs you go to a casting for. If the job is a nude job (RARE in high fashion) and you’re not interested, you simply do not go to that casting. Your agents probably won’t even send you the option to go, since they know your values. That same brand will have a non-nude casting tomorrow. It’s fine, no one cares!

THIS. And she admits it herself, she simulated nudity. For someone who never posed nude and made these girls feel like they had to in order to be in fashion, she’s had a very successful career.

Insane how the model was forced to work with that creepy dude while he was visibly physically excited 45:36 . She should have also sued.

Ugh so many of these episodes are disgusting, but the ones that always get me is Jayla.
Like not only being in the situation with this disgusting racist man, but telling the people around you, WHO ARE ALSO BLACK, and them being so nonchalant. The misogynior that Tyra and the rest of the cast perpetuated is so obvious and unbearable to watch. I can't even imagine being in these girls shoes, having it broadcast to the world.

Never realised how problematic this show was when I was younger even going as far as saying that the models should suck it and work its not that bad. Now im much older Tyra and the rest of her team were really evil. It actually crazy how long this show lasted without people trynna sue the show.

I feel so bad for Kenya. If you pause the video at 45.46, you can very clearly see he is turned on.
I get it, men can get turned on simply looking at a woman, but he should have had better control of himself. And the stylist should have used something to conceal his excitement.
I'm glad it isn't as bad now as it was back then, but this is the type of behaviour and how the higher ups would dismiss women who had to deal with men like this in the workplace.
What makes this shoot even worse was the fact that she spoke up about it.. you could CLEARLY see his excitement, AND then Jay had to tell him to stop grabbing her.. so they clearly knew what he was doing and still blamed her. It's disgusting.
