If you have ever been at least an average trumpet player, then you know just how hard any one of these trumpet parts are to play. Let alone all three. Now as this average trumpet player, forget the lower tone instruments. Obviously this young lady is far beyond average!!!
HOLY SH*T!! The other valve trombone player!! There can be only two. I have one inherited from my Grandfather and the story goes that it was purchased from a carnival musician during the depression... GREAT and fun to watch!
Oh my...I am all smiles for this performance. Your playing is great, but even more important, your feisty personality shows through. You are right about the valve trombone being necessary for that part. Easy for me to write, not so easy for you to play...but you set the benchmark for all future performances! Well done!
I am marveled with your talent. Isn’t wonderful we have such great technology that you could do this. I did this very crudely back in the sixties using 2 reel to reel tape recorders back in the 1960’s with my trumpet, alto sax, tenor banjo & accordion. Thank you for bringing back memories and the work it took to make this wonderful video.
That was FANTASTIC!!! Leroy Anderson was one of the most BRILLIANT composers EVER, and you HAVE to be a HOT HORN PLAYER to even THINK about recreating ANY of his masterpieces, and YOU KILLED IT!!! I'm SURE Leroy's LISTENING and GRINNING EAR TO EAR!!! When he found out it was a WOMAN playing ALL OF THE PARTS, his wings got a foot longer!!! INSPIRATION!!!
Miss Landers is right up there with the best trumpet players ever . I knew David O'Neill personally when we both played trumpet in the same Drum Corps together in the 1960's and 1970's , Washington Park Drum Corps in Meriden , Connecticut .
This is a very busy musical piece and the three trumpeters only had a 5-second rest at about 1:09. But they still managed to be super-entertaining during the break. Not only was the performance just amazing, there is also the comedy genius!
Thank you! 😊 One thing I've learnt from recording myself is that little interactions really add to the entertainment! Obviously the look of the trumpets in this one was preplanned, but I am always amused seeing my own subconscious habbits and movements often in sync completely unplanned.
Wow!Good job Maive! Keep playing for the rest of your life. Take it from an old has-been trumpet player, it’ll bring you so much joy in the years to come.
Yep, just checked out all the other versions of Bugler's Holiday on UA-cam and I can honestly say this is my favourite. Others too fast or too slow, or just didn't have the same vibe. Or the Maeve Lander charisma!
Extremely cool! One of the best videos I've seen on UA-cam 😁👍 you are very talented to be able to switch from trumpet to low brass. I think you would be a very fun person to play with 😉
Both your playing and production skills are very impressive. I'm really looking forward to your version of the Toccata and Fugue in D minor! (Be sure it ends on a D minor chord, though.)
Very pleasant! nice arrangment please the score link doesn't work please can you upadte it - thank soo much for your music best regards take care yourself Pascal
Hi, very nice arrangement - nice musicaluty - This piece is fun and very beautifully execution. (unfortunetely the musescore link doesn't work) thank you soo much - best regards
There was a batch of copyright takedowns on Musescore a while back and this one may have been affected. Contact IowaBob directly via the message function and he may be able to send you the score privately
@@maevelander1 That's clever! I use garage band to do my multitracks. Is there I way I can pitch things down in garage band so I can play tuba parts without a tuba too? Or do you use a different program?
Hello Maeve, I like this arrangement. However, do you know where to find the score? It seems not be found on Musescore anymore. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Tobias (Germany)
Great!

You want to see people playing valve trombones look up Sardanas in Catalunya.
Bravo Bravo marvelous. I've never seen or heard anything like this.

Fabulous!!🎉
Magnificent.
Absolutely Magnificent.
The double tonguing by the 3 trumpeters , trombone and tuba is phenomenal .
Not one sour note by any of Miss Lander's instruments .

Clever videography work with the Christmas Tree. Great music performance.
I'll excuse the valve trombone today, this is fantastic!
Oh wow! Excellent! Brava!

Hats off for the excellent playing, creative editing and great personality. I'll watch your other videos, for sure.
What a joy to hear this wonderful arrangement, proud to meet Bob Driggs arranger of this song.
That's the best I've seen since "Five Guys Named Moe." Well done!

I would have loved to hear you talk on the flugelhorn video.
Would love to see you cover the tuba part with a cimbasso in a later version!

Very pleasant! How did you find 5 people who look alike that play nearly the same instrument?
Cloning really has made progress.. shame they still only last for one song each, though.
LOL
@@davivify Whats so funny ? That is the truth and she tells how she does it in this video : ua-cam.com/video/ea_giAq4fb4/v-deo.html

@ Gee, Thanks for setting him straight.
Are they 5 sisters or quintuplets? They are so much alike.
Thank you for your performance. I enjoyed your performance very much.
All 5 are the same girl , Maeve Lander and it is brass multitrack videos .
@ Thank you for telling me about the player(s).
can you do also : Duck Tales

And who plays the tuba part ? Not the valve trombone.
First on the right. I play the tuba part on my flugel then drop it down two octaves.

Great arrangement and performance! I'm really confused by that Flugel sounding like a tuba though. :)
The Fluba! A new instrument from the digital age 😛
@@maevelander1 Fluba? I thought it was a Tugel.
@@maevelander1, you could start a new site. YouTuba.

Can you play giant steps? Or more jazz standards.
I'm no musician, but perhaps someone who is can back me up: this is really superlative playing, isn't it?
yes it is - just excellent work on a very difficult piece
Where’s the tuba?
Always read the description. 😛
I've loved this piece for over 65 years, and you interpretation was fantastic.
