- The Czech composer August Stradal was a student of Liszt and is best known for his solo piano transcriptions of Liszt's thirteen symphonic poems. Liszt's influence on Stradal is clear, as the Lohengrin fantasy is very reminiscent of Liszt's own operatic fantasies. Stradal gives the piece the title 'Freie Phantasie', suggesting the free arrangement of the melodies into the piece.

A very epic fantasy! I really like the closer intervals in the bass and how rich the sound gets. Thanks for uploading!
Very well constructed fantasy! Thank you so much for posting! I have to admire the pianist’s ability to maintain a great sound quality through all those fortissimos.
Beautiful -- and brilliant performance!
