Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the footage... well figured you would as you seem to love manual (not that I do or anything - cough). Never actually considered using the marks on the front of the bins to see if RLs serviced bins. Then I guess I don't need to because some places are obvious like tight lanes, etc.
By how I saw her working, she puts a lot of garbos to shame haha A real inspiration =]
I was thinking the same thing, even the bins for the flipper are small. I wish the bins were like that when I did residential. Great vid Mitch. Really enjoy the manual loading footage. LOL "Ford Rulz" in the hopper.
can u get more? manual lifting of bins is my favorite way of watching trash collection. good thing we have that method over here in the US, its actually a pretty common way of trash collection since we mostly have RL's this is my favorite vid out of all the other vids youve made ive watched this like 9 times already LOL!
yea youre right! Ive had houses put out 5- 50 gal rubbermaids full of garbage every week! Id run out of stuff to throw away!
Poor bastards are still waiting for the new truck! Is this chick laura i always see her doing bin deliveries
Yes it is.
@Superiorpakfan Yeh I saw three of the Scanias out at Superior Pak the other week, can't believe they are still using these old trucks.
@trashking900 Yep it's still manual here in North Sydney, probably for a while yet to I believe, but who knows what can change in a short period of time. I'm planning on going back there again these holidays for more of this...
Yep, they swap over on the 2nd load, gotta have a rest... atleast physically. They use RLs there because they have a lot of laneways and tight streets to deal with, so obviously not the best option for a SL to operate in the council + it's much faster over there with an RL. There are two runners over there because there is so much to collect - they do generally 3 loads spread among garbage and recycling - would be too hard on one runner if it was just him on the back...
I'll try and get down there again eventually... but I got another video from a council with heaps of manual lifting! - will upload soon. Down here it's pretty rare to have manual collection like this, because of safety regs. As a matter of fact, they should be using the lifter! lol Only thing is the collections would take too long with the lifters...
cool
@j7fighter I sort of wonder how some houses can use these when I actually think about it... guess some households don't produce that much or they just squash everything tightly - they're only serviced once a week...
Wow
Those manual cans are small!
Yea but if bins here were that small, every house would have like 8 or 10!
I live in north sydney and i'm trying to find empty Emma and Tom's juice bottles or any similar square bottle to build and organise a workshop shelving system. Would you recommend i get in contact with these guys and find out where the tip is? Do you think this would be easy to do
Thanks
Garbage goes to Artarmon and recycling goes to Smithfield, but it's highly unlikely you'll be able to sift through material due to at least safety reasons at both sites. Probably have to go through bins before they get emptied or find out exactly who throws out the particular bottles you're after.
those trucks look ancient. they also look like a pain in the assets to load. you need a different design
tiran más basura de la que recogen!
haha *It is a woman*... my bad
Is that a woman lodaing? its hard to tell
With the way those cars were flying by... I wouldn't chase any of that stuff that falls out of the truck either. Great video!
