*Just a "Point of Information" In 1859 the Carrington Event disrupted the telegraph not home electricity or radio transmission. The wiring of the world started in the US 1882, and in earnest across the world in the early 1900's. Radio was invented 1901.....however today such an event would be catastrophic with billions of lives lost.*

The Carrington event birned up telegraph lines. There weren't any radios etc yet. When it happens again it will be a nightmare.

You probably felt the initial energy wave (X-ray, electrons, protons etc,) that arrives 8 minutes after it starts. Plasma is slow

Flights may be cancelled, esp any over the Atlantic. Might see some St. Elmo's Fire events with mariners and Air travellers. Also a concern how easy it would be to use this to cover a cyber attack, EMP, etc., ... may cause gas pipelines to explode, navigational chaos, ... Interesting days!! @amandanz1973 a couple of days ago I could hear a constant medium-high pitch tone coming off a wire fence...... In Bay of Islands region, NZ.
We will experience stronger and stronger solar events causing problems for our societies. The pure terror for most. I have seen so many people at car an motorcycle crashes and when people are choking or collapsed do to a cardiac event. The people are frozen standing but leaning forward with both hands on both knees. I expect when these super solar events occur you could walk up to such people, take their wallet/purse and jewelry and they would not move...just frozen. LOL. I have chased bears (stupid thing to do, don't do it. LOL) Himliched 2 people, rescued 4 in the ocean, helped injured people at 4 car crashes one involving an ambulance on it's side (darn drunk driver of offending pickup.) So many motorcycle crashes (yes I ride awesome sportbikes.) The list goes on. So many people not prepared physically or mentally or trained, and certainly not experienced.

My worry is what is going to happen to all those Lithium-ion batteries that are being recharged or are fully charged, if a Carrington sized event was to occur. All those scooters, bikes being recharged inside people’s homes and EV in garages. If they catch fire there is no way countless thermal runaway fires are going to be put out. It would be like if every city, town and village had been carpet bombed with incendiary bombs. Neighbourhoods could burn down!

I think that the planetary alignment on 5/11 and throughout the summer will have a significant influence on our sun.
I wonder if earths magnetic fields become depleted after being hit by constant M and X class flares or is our magnetic fields built to withstand constant cme rapid fires?
Some have theorized that yes, they are under attack. And if a break in it happens it could cause a pole shift and or radiation breakthrough. Our magnetic fields protect us like a giant force field or shield.
SpaceX also weakens our ionosphere. Too much metal, dust and garbage there thanks to satellites

I do appreciate your great updates but we didn’t have cross country electric grid in 1859,……..the first electrified multi building done by Edison in the 1870’s was at Flagler College in Florida (US).
ok Thought the Carrington event was named such because of the top shelf report by Mr Carrington on the effects of the CME on the Telegraph system in 1859.
Considering the first light bulb did not even exist yet well not for 20years anyway.
They had no radios during the Carrington event

The slower stuff is charged particles, electrons, protons, ions that was ejected, they travel much slower than the EM pulse
