One from the heart.......Judith's heart! This beautiful song was penned by her many years before she actually recorded it. If anything, it gives an insight as to her feelings when she was at the height of her fame with The Seekers in the 60's. At that time, in spite of all the adulation and attention she was getting in the UK, she was terribly homesick and missed her parents and family back in Australia. Her fleeting visits back home during those heady days only highlighted the wrench when it came to leaving them all behind again and this beautifully puts those feelings into words about the pain of parting. A beautiful woman with a loving heart!
I believe this was her 60th birthday concert. In the DVD she dithered over her reading glasses just like any of my friends around that age. Great rendition from one of the world's best voices.
The very first time I heard this song, I think I cried - and its very hard to listen to without welling up. One of the most poignant and moving goodbye songs ever.
The best, still a brilliant vocal from a true star. A funny, loveable entertaining Lady that leaves nothing and gives it all every time. What a voice and talent this beautiful lady has and yet so grounded and unassuming. Never will be bettered and always enjoyed.
I've been waiting for 50 years for a female singer to come along who I thought was better than Judith Durham. Still waiting !!! Love you dear lady, always will.

I sent a letter to Judith asking about where to purchase the score or sheet music for this song and she replied that one was never made..... I hope she changes her mind as this song may be lost in time and it is too beautiful a song for that to happen...
This will sung at my memorial service when I pass on..... along with I'll Never find Another You, "Your My Spirit" and close with "Keep a Dream In Your Pocket"

I think it's a beautiful song and it does make me cry sometimes - truly heartbreaking. But I also think it has some healing power.
