Wrong title, to say the least. The video barely addresses how a motorcycle transmission works. Instead, it mostly talks about CAD, in very vague and unstructured fashion. Useless.
hi greg, great video!! i came across this as i'm trying to draw up a sequential dogbox model in fusion 360 which i'm going to 3d print, but i'm having trouble modelling the shift paths on the shift drum, can we talk through email or somewhere where i can attach files?
Although I have owned Triumph bikes (Street Triple 675, Tiger 1050) in my past.... this one is in fact from my Suzuki RGV250. I have a couple of spare engines hanging around so it was convenient to pull apart and take some measurements!

Hello, did you happen to make a public version to download? Would be a big help, doesn't matter if it isn't finished yet. Thanks
Just subscribed. 👍👍
Awesome thank you! Be sure to leave comments on other things you see here that you like.
i want the link for this design
I'll see if I can clean it up and make a public version...
@@gregbrown-onshape7555 Got that public version yet?

I'll see if I can clean up the shift drum and make a follow up for it - there's certainly some interesting modeling in there!!
thank you very much :)@@gregbrown-onshape7555

Hello Greg. Nice work. Can you offer any advice or direct me to any Onshape tutorials for how to model the gear teeth and selector parts?
Thanks for the suggestion - I can dig one more level into this model if you like and show you how I did the teeth and selectors. Stay tuned...
Hi greg , Which software?
This is Onshape. My playlist here is all focusing on various Onshape capabilities.
