Joey and Pacey were one of those couples I had always heard about in passing. They were one of the iconic early 2000's couples. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. They most definitely deserve their iconic standing!

The chemistry was too strong between the actors for the characters not to get together. Joshua Jackson was pitch perfect.

I thought I was the only one who saw the similarities between Pacey and Stiles. While Stiles’ love story wasn’t even close to Pacey and Joey, the characters were so similar and there’s no wonder we all love Pacey’s character and Stiles’ characters so much. They were basically the life of the show. I didn’t even want to watch teen wolf season 6B cause stiles was not a main character anymore.
@@hperera9029 You're right, TW season 6 was hard to watch. But the scenes with Stiles were amazing and worth the wait. The episode they remember him was awesome.
I won't be watching the TW movie on Paramount+. No Stiles, no thanks.
As for Pacey, best character. He and Jen were my favs. Then Joey, Jack, Audrey, Andy, and Dawson was at the bottom.

You know what’s funny? Growing up in the 90’s I rooted for Dawson and Joey bc the pilot made me feel like they were endgame but I never watched this show consistently bc I was only about 10-11 at the time and I wanted to watch kids that were my age lol but I rewatched the whole series this year, and dang, Joey and Pacey makes the most sense!!!! Joey and Pacey is them choosing each other, and being there for each other and actually growing up together.

Dont get me wrong, I love Pacey and Joey. But like Nathan and Hayley from One Tree Hill will always be my number one! And I think its because we got to see so much more of them and them actually living their lives as adults and having kids ect. 😊

Idc what anyone says, Pacey and Joey were a true love match. Once they fell in love, that was it. Neither of them were meant to be with another for the long haul. Nor in their hearts did they want to be. They both challenged each other and motivated each other to push themselves past their limits and fears. They ended up being the best thing that ever happened to each other. True love waited, then true love prevailed! ⛵❤
Beautiful comment. Once they fell in love, it was intense and that deep feeling never went away. Joey dated several people after that but always hesitated to take the final plunge and commit herself fully because deep down the feelings for Pacey never went away.
For example, she found a way to alienate from AJ, same with Eddie, and finally with Christopher. In a surprising way with Dawson as well because she "seemed" relieved to find out Dawson had a girl friend already.
So, in a way, all the above match with the statement she makes to Jen on her deathbed. Like, she always knew with whom (Pacey) she should end up with but always fear kicked in and she ran away from him.
I absolutely love PJ... Some say Andy was meant for him, but she cheated on him. I watched this when I was younger & I just watched it on Netflix again. It will always be PJ. Their chemistry was so strong. They dated for awhile while filming DC & it was pretty intense. You know there was still feelings. I couldn’t stand Dawson. He was so selfish. Dawson asked Pacey to watch over Joey, then gets mad when feelings grow between them. Dawson didn’t even want Joey again until he found out about PJ. I couldn’t stand Audrey & Pacey together either. And, for Eddie is the only time I got mad @ Joey. I mean really Eddie over Pacey? I still wish to this day Katie & Josh would’ve made it in rl.

Pacey had fun with Audrey and he did love her, but he states in S6 that he didn't think he was ever *in love* with her. Even though he claimed they were the easiest of all his relationships, after a while, she just became too flighty and exhausting for him. And Andie was a great first love, but it's obvious he began falling out of love with her while she was away. Cause if he hadn't, then they would've got passed what she did to him and found a way to get back together. And he wouldn't have truly fallen for Joey just a couple months after. Joey was the only one he never fell out of love with or grew tired of. Despite the flaws and their differences, their constant playful bantering, and love for aggravating each other, ..and despite his big mistake at the sr. prom, he couldn't imagine a life without her. As stated in 4x09. He never loved anyone more than or even like the way he loved her. She was "the one." ❤

Yes, their chemistry was electrifying. Season 5 with casual hookups was the only blot in the series.
Yeh she called him Pace, sweetie, sweetheart, my love. She definitely spoke in Season 4 like he was endgame and didn't do that with anyone else throughout the entire series!

Still one of the best romances on TV. The show couldve ended with them sailing off together. Thanks to Josh Jackson, Pacey proved to be the best character on Dawson's Creek
Almost 25 years later and they are still the one couple who made sense and had chemistry that made you root for them and watch them whenever they had any scene together. Katie and Josh made it soooooo easy to watch them. Great video!!

Me too. I remember watching the first scene with Dawson and Joey and was like "Hmm I don't know" and then I saw Pacey and Joey interact and immediately thought that Joey should be with him instead 😂. Glad it happened that way.
I watched the show for the first time, finished it a few days ago.
I didn’t like Dawson, but more to the point, it rubbed me the wrong way that, in 1x12, Dawson realized he liked Joey only after she had makeup on and wore a black dress.
Other than the fact Dawson never described Joey the way Pacey did, we’re supposed to believe Dawson had underlying feelings for her instead of Pacey???
Dawson didn’t even see Joey in a romantic light until she dressed up the opposite of her usual attire. He told her, “It was like seeing you for the first time tonight,” and Joey rightfully became upset and said, “There’s something that’s just not right about this.”
It’s exactly like those teen rom-coms where the “plain” (who’s actually beautiful) girl gets a makeover and suddenly the guy sees her.
I’m glad she ended up with Pacey, who always saw her for who she was.

Are there actually people who don't? I have never encountered them. I could understand it if people have only watched as an early teenager, but as a late teenager (when I saw it the first time) and as an adult now. Its quite clear that Dawson was never gonna be the right person for Joey, and that Dawson is general is not a good written character, especially considering he never wanted Joey until he saw her in a beautiful dress...
@@TKDDLJ09 Yes, there are actually D/J shippers out there! Honestly I feel sorry for anyone who ships Dawson +Joey over Joey + Pacey, because they can't see the difference between a supportive, loving relationship, and a manipulative, toxic relationship based on a fantasy.
Dawson is a flawed and unreal character but Pacey is a character who is real and affectionate.

I watched this show the first time when I was around 10/11 years old, in the Portuguese television.
They never aired the complete show, but I never forget it how much I love it.
When I got older, I went looking to watch it online, and my God.
Pacey is one of the main reason why my standards for love are so high...
I love him.
I love Pacey and Joey chemistry. There isn't another couple in this show that compete with them. It's impossible.
They are perfect together. The grow together. They understand and compliment each other.
This is why it would never be Dawson.
A lot of people think that their first kiss was when he stopped the car and kissed her, but I wasn't. Their first kiss wasn't in season three.
It was before that. And when I remember the quote "you kissed me first sweetheart" that Joey says when they have their first time, I always remember that it was Pacey who saw Joey as a woman, as a romantic interest first.
He saw her first.

Classic case of 2nd line story beat the original story by some distance. Even though writers tried so hard for the original story. It's a story about how a side character takes centre stage and become the main character even though he was never meant to.

I'm rewatching the show and all I remember from 5 and 6 season is them. I didn't remember that Joey chose Eddie over Pacey, it was so painfull to whatch... that I'm considering to pass last couple series and go strait to the end 😅
That's what I did. I went back later to watch what I missed but at the time it hurt too much 😂
Taking a walk down memory lane watching these older couple vids and saw this comment. I think I watched S5 & 6 once(minus a few PJ eppies and the very ending....those got some repeats lol) but I didn't enjoy the last seasons either. But keep in mind Joey admitted that she had always known who she was suppose to be with and that she was actively running from Pacey. She chose Eddie because she wasn't ready for endgame(as we call it). Anyway, that's my take.
