lyrics
[Intro]
[Verse: Roger Waters & David Gilmour]
We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teacher, leave them kids alone
Hey! Teacher! Leave them kids alone!
[Chorus: Roger Waters & David Gilmour]
All in all, it's just another brick in the wall
All in all, you're just another brick in the wall
[Verse: Islington Green School Students]
We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers, leave them kids alone
Hey! Teacher! Leave us kids alone!
[Chorus: Islington Green School Students]
All in all, you're just another brick in the wall
All in all, you're just another brick in the wall
[Guitar Solo]
[Outro: Roger Waters]
Wrong, do it again! (*Children playing*)
Wrong, do it again!
If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!
(Wrong, do it again!)
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
(Wrong, do it again!)
You! Yes! You behind the bike sheds! Stand still, laddie!
(If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!
How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?)
(You! Yes! You behind the bike sheds! Stand still, laddie!)

У нас в школе эту песню на концерте будут петь, и я каждый раз слышу как ее репетируют с учительницей английского:)

Yes. Not all teachers are the same. There's still a few that truly care about their students and aren't trying to push their politics down students throats.
Means she's being forced to teach what she doesn't want to and cares too much about you all to just leave you.
Same! Our Bengali teacher shared this in her Facebook profile and she always talks about how screwed up education has become and how we are forced to guzzle down textbooks instead of being interested at all.
As a student this hits so deep man
Yeah I know that
But I was Just Correcting the Other person

@Contingency IBCT true but I really mean the teachers leave the kids alone bit
@Contingency IBCT The song isn’t anti-education. It’s against the ineffective school system and it’s enforcers, not the concept of learning.
@@astrocake584 Exactly some people think it’s about bullying even though it’s about school systems controlling the thought process of children
@trvp_ i know what it's about I'm only 15 but I was brought up listening to the old music the proper music better than all this rubbish we hear on the radio nowadays
An amazing song that was way ahead of it's time.

The best song of pink floyd
The only one I know, I mean, the only one I'm sure that it's theirs, but it's so good, do you like something in the way by Nirvana?
It was played in The Batman, it's THE movie
Nah, comfortably numb is better

This songs was written in the early 90's and we still continue to have this problem. Teachers still abuse their power and students feel trapped in society's rules. That just goes to show you that society hasn't changed even 100 years later. This is just sad.
It actually has, the depravities increase. And what we know of AI now? We could have been taught by them for 5,000 years. You are in the right direction but for the wrong reason. Go for it.
...The 90s? Nope.
I think it was in the late 70's to early 80's. I remember it from a child.
This songs was written in 1979!
It was released as part of the double lp ‘the wall’ in 1979
"Hey, teacher's leave them kids alone" fits so good into todays society.
Good job
This song really hits these days 🙏
"This song really hits these days". Wow! You are so right, Scary.
This song makes my soul cry. Hiddenly it’s telling us the ephemeral of all the job positions, job positions that make us feel important, but aren’t. 😢

Wow this was made for today’s world 100% . Hey teachers leave our kids alone .
Couldn't agree more with all the woke nonsense
@@kid--presentable I don't think that the song is about woke. It's about the school system, about the way we teach
@@ytwardep4702 yes and today's school system had been hijacked by a Marxist indoctrinated education system
@@ytwardep4702 In total agreement here. The significance of this song and it's messages are timeless, but the way we interpret the lyrics does not.

Education is the key to success in life
So this is why my school janitor showed us this song on the last day of school… I like it.
In rock music Everyone talks about the guitar and the drums.
FOR ME THE BASS GUITAR gets me everytime.
My bff played this last day of our middle school days in 80s (also was suspended last day for doing it) we've been awake since... today hope many see the bs also....music from the past now all makes sense today...
Amen. Too many of us were complacent lazy cowards with blinders on. Unless ALLLLL AMERICANS WAKE UP THIS NATION IS LOST TO THE ONE WORLD GOVT. WEF GREAT RESET 15 min cities. Take your pick it’s all coming they have to install this before 2024.
Me and my friends were planning a revolution at school, we said we were gonna play two songs, one was were not gonna take it and another brick in the wall. Perfect for the occasion
Make it peaceful kids. Please don’t get hurt. A School up north, the kids did same thing! they rebelled they tore down all lgbt crap they all wore red white blue they chanted “MY PRONOUNS ARE USA”. “MY PRONOUNS ARE USA”. Red white blue they planned it well. And that is in a very very heavy democrat state. You kids need a nationwide protest your not only fighting for your lives but your entire generation your nation that will be in your control if it’s not totally communist GOD BLESS AND PROTECT YOU ALL
My dad showed me the music video for this song when I was around the age of 7, I’m still traumatized to this day.

Thought control! 2023! 😮 this song…. And many others!! 🤯
This song has never been more relevant
I've seen Pink Floyd twice in concert and for each time there is a wild story about what happened. I can't tell either of them.
At the very least come clean on your death bed.
What my dad play's on max volume in his truck when he pick's me up from school on the last day of school
the busy signal sound at the end is so eerie and i love it
Students should blast this song through school halls, if a teacher tries to make a kid think how they want them to. Let kids be kids...
So meant for today that song!!
I am listening this song since i was student and now i am teacher and I am listening it which makes me a good teacher (2024) ❤❤
I’m just now listening to Pink Floyd after recognizing their logo like everywhere, and deciding if i was gonna keep seeing it might as well listen to them.

Amen we need this sent worldwide during protest for our children
@@shirleymerly4in Jezus Christ name amen.
Born in 1953, I see this song different from others comments. In my mind a few months from being, 70, I see that through a lifetime we are all just another brick on the wall of the human race. We are born, live, and die. And if we just all try to understand that nobody is better or lower than us, we could possibly live in solidarity and peace. It only takes one brick taken out of a wall and it all can tumble down. And unfortunately, has been occurring by humans before the common era.

Unless you're in duhsantis' floriduh. Don't say gay. Don't read this book or that. Don't wear masks, that's stupid. NO ONE SHALL SPEAK OF MENSTRATION, STUDENTS OR SCHOOL STAFF.
It's up to this generation to take up the fight against authoritarians.
It won't be easy. ❤
Pink Floyd tried to warn the world but we all had blinders on. We were complacent lazy cowards. Everyone too busy with life to stop the evil INDOCTR and destroying our kids. THIS IS ALL HITLERS COMM RULE. “Give me a generation and I can take over a nation”. EDUCATE WAKE UP OUR KIDS
That song takes me back to when I preformed on stage with my third grade class as a group.
Pink floyd is awesome this song is gold and nostalgic for some people

Bom tempos quando ouvíamos essa música sem imaginar como seria o futuro. 😢
In the music video the main character is an artist, the song is reflective of how the failing school system just exists to produce mindless workers and kills the creative.
We have to play this sono in class.IT'S FANTASTIC
Im doing a assignment for music and i have to make a playlist of my life and i added one event about school and i want to do this song but i think the teacher will get mad 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♀️
It’s good they are appreciating teachers ❤

This song îs indicated for our teachers who want many money without performances
Gratidão.
no, cause when you actually listen to the lyrics they hit you so hard
They were living in the future 👽
They saw the future
Most people can relate to this song. Teachers were evil when I was at school. Some were carrying out caning long after it was banned. This is about teachers bullying children, both mentally and physically.
All this time I thought he was saying “we don’t need no fart control“ 😭👌
i heard no dogs or cats in the class room
Fun Fact! Some time in the 90's some of those kids singing tried to sue Pink Floyd when they got older but lost lol they're parents already signed a waiver back then hahaha
Great old song
Um clássico, ficou na historia para sempre!!!
الكلمات تعود لما يجري على الاطفال اليوم وليست اغنية فقط
So social, so meaningful about freedom.
The 2 saddest things about this song:
1 - Most people have never heard it before.
2 - A lot of those who do hear it do not understand the meaning of it at all..😭
You have to sit and listen
You are so right there. People take it too literally, and don't listen to the lyrics beyond 'we don't need no education'. It's about teachers having too much power and bullying the students, mentally and physically. It's a very deep song.
@fozziebear567 even when they listen to the line "we don't need no education " they fail to notice that it is a double negative proving that they do indeed need education 😂
@@missgurl1362it’s actually a comment towards education system which were merely designed to create obedient and controlled workers. Where on the name of education the exploring power of an individual was blocked
@sweerie123 The album it is from (The Wall) is a concept album that follows the story of a character called Pink. This song is about his abusive school teacher. It may have other meanings about society, but as far as I’m aware it is just part of the album's storyline.
we are all another brick in the wall
