The Swedish choir did a pretty good job. They altered some part of it but made it so amazingly beautiful harmony. The group received so many awards plus the grand prize. I can't believe they pronounced the words clearly. No problem whatsoever. Congrats Sweden! ❤️

Filipino choirs are perpetually winning in different international choir competitions by singing all these Filipino folk songs as their winning pieces. Because of this, these Filipino folk songs have become so popular in choir circles and choirs from other countries tend to use them also for their competition pieces.
There’s the influence with musical play from Spanish colonization zarzuela. Then the Filipino folksongs compositions fits well to the four vocal types and ranges of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass made by our brilliant compositors. Several years already Filipinos winning competition abroad of the melodious well blended music. From there many foreign countries are singing it too even foreign universities competitions. We’re happy it’s recognize abroad. Thank you Ovela.
It was a song during when i was studying in grade school. I mean every section of our public school learn this folk song in our music subject.. great performance by the swedish people. Mabuhay
I heard that they were looking for a musical piece until they came up with Ryan Cayabyab Singer's rendition of Leron, Leron Sinta, a Filipino folk song. They were mesmerized by the blending of different voices, they studied and we all now know what transpired next.
Love your reaction! Leron leron sinta is a favorite among young boys in my village, in Nueva Ecija, a Tagalog- speaking province. We sing it substituting some kind of limerick, such as " ang baril ko'y pito and sundang ko'y siyam" - Translation: I carry seven guns and nine bolos. Filipino-American watching/listening in Virginia, USA.
They were marvellous! ❤❤❤🎉 it doesn't matter if they mispronounce the words. However, the dynamics are well-executed 🎉the inner smile is incredible. Nearly everything is excellent 😊❤😊
Funny to think that I'm a filipino and familiar with the song but does not know the interpretation. Well I guess I already know after watching this video. Leron Leron Sinta is just one of so many Filipino folk songs that I wish to hear from foreign choir like the Swedish choir. Congrats to them.
Thank you for your reaction. Like any kids song, this song is short The first few bar lines were sung as a whole then all those lines were repeated in various musical elements. Other songs like Rosas Pandan is very popular among international choir competitions. You’ll be surprised.
i don't know what different countries love about old filipino folk songs, but it's been used since decades ago till now from school choirs to pro competitions around the world. i guess it's fun to arrange, easier to pronounce and memorize, so cool to listen to especially from choirs. leron leron sinta is just one of the popular choir piece others are, bahay kubo, coconut nut, 'paru-parung bukid' and a top favorite of many countries is the 'rosas pandan'. and a lot of talented choirs and schools around the globe have been nailing it with these songs.
Ovela, this is actually not the first time that a foreign chiir sang a Filipino song. there are a number of countries that chose our sings either for a competition or simply to showcase tgeir5 talent

Filipino folk songs come in different forms; telling stories .. daily chores in the barrios( the smallest political unit in the Philippines) like in the farms .. planting and harvest, it can also be courtship/ marriage. Others tell stories of heroism or bravery .. Whatever the language being used in the song by the performers, it is indeed the expression of feelings ... It is a gesture of recognition of international unity . Thank you for sharing the video and making a positive reaction. You are great for making your channel the medium of spreading good songs from any country .. God bless you !
Leron-leron Sinta or “My Dear, Little Leron” is popular Filipino Folk Song from Tagalog Region. The Lyrics 🎶 described to be “resilience” involves the ability to work through emotional pain & suffering.🇵🇭⭐️⭐️⭐️🎤🎶❤️

The singing is "so angelic" really raises goosepimples!... But singing the traditional Pilipino music has an "ancient spell",.... Whoever sings these songs with the Pilipino sentimental rendetion and understood its lyrics will carry part of its musical soul in their hearts thereafter....
