Idk cuz it is super close to the holidays and brooke has admitted to cussing people out because of frustration so i get why they wouldnt want to be straight up right away. Canceling to stay with family around holidays makes sense to me. She could try throwing her party before thanksgiving.

It's baffling to me how much they are minimizing it. She's talked about it on the podcast and probably in person, I assume, how important it is for people to show up for her. Just because it doesn't matter to you, doesn't mean it's okay to assume it doesn't matter to another person, or disregard it.
I would understand if she asked, and they all said maybe, and then it didn't turn out. But, to say yes, HER plan around THEM, and then they still not show up. You are deciding to let your friend down. Every time.

It's not a documentary, but the channel "Psychology in Seattle" often covers this issue! I'm pretty sure he has an episode about online trolling. He's got a PhD and is a professor and therapist.

Brookes face is literally perfect and I have no idea what people are talking about. It’s always smooth. She talks about how she wears too much makeup but it always looks smooth and flawless. Her blue eyes and dark hair make her look ethereal but still real. It really upsets me when she says people comment on her looks and that it gets to her.

God I almost cried for Brooke at the end there, and I’d be at the edge of tears if I WAS Brooke there. Kudos for her taking it there tho, Tana at least comes off caring more for business than she does her circle, which isn’t healthy; Tana you deserve breaks to enjoy being a human and not a brand. A few episodes ago you implied something like you’d miss Brooke’s wedding for a mental crisis(sleeping), and Brooke wasn’t having that for good reason. Reassess your priorities if you’d burn yourself out for stupid men, and unnecessary work, to the point where not being at your best friends wedding is a real possibility that you’ll state it now like it’s not incredibly depressing TO YOUR BEST FRIEND. Get your pity in a different way, not at your friends expense.

I feel sad for Brooke. I used to have friends that made excuses why they couldn't do anything for my birthday around Christmas. I just accepted that for years until I met new friends after college. My new and best friends have made sure I've had a party or dinner every single year since. I'm no longer friends with anyone from the old group. The whole "if he wanted to, he would" also applies to friendships "if they wanted to, they would".

it definitely makes sense to be upset by all your friends cancelling last minute when you’ve spent so much time and money on your own party and having to scrap everything and plan it on a day your FRIENDS all want to… the point of a birthday is that everyone comes together to celebrate you and even if that happens to be close to thanksgiving it’s still not on thanksgiving so there should be no real reason if you truly want to show someone they’re important to you and that you love them you would be able to miss a day of whatever extra thanksgiving plans your family has that they do the exact same way every year..

Tana, I had a hard time watching you in this episode. I started watching Cancelled when you were on the sober train so it was really jarring to see you get progressively intoxicated throughout this episode. I'm 2.5 years sober and up until recently, it was really cool watching you navigate life as a (California) sober influencer. It was difficult to watch you talking over Brooke, dismissing her concerns, and interjecting your own childhood trauma when questions were specifically directed at her.

I absolutely love seeing Tana’s authentic journey with sobriety as someone who is considering it as well. A lot of people choose to keep it private until they are fully sober, or at the very least hide their relapses. I completely respect that and everyone has a right to their privacy, but as a viewer it’s honestly nice seeing Tana have a real journey with sobriety. She is not perfect, and she goes back and forth when it comes to drinking, but I truly do think she is on the right path and this is all a normal part of the journey.

I totally get Brooke's birthday struggles because mine is on New Year's Day, so I ALWAYS have the same problem every year. It always feels like my friends have bigger priorities/don't care, but usually, I try to split their time or find a balance. Every year it is really stressful and heartbreaking though, so kudos to Brooke, and happy early birthday.

And I know you guys are all great friends and all one big group who probably always constantly do this to each other but just as a viewer it honestly didn't sit well and made me feel worst from what was already a deep conversation

I feel Brooke so hard with the birthdays! My birthday is usually either the week before or the same week as thanksgiving & everyone is always cancelling on me last minute :) (and we all live in the same state ~20-40mins as our families)
Every anecdote I hear about Lila just makes me dislike her more. Imagine dealing with a "friend" like that irl. I don't know how they put up with her😅. There's a being funny and a bit ditzy, and then there's being downright rude and unhygienic (I remember in one ep Tana said Lilah told her at some airport that she hadn't washed her hands in 3 days. I mean whut 🤢)
