Reflecting on Turning 38: Rediscovering Skateboarding, My Childhood Dream

I vividly remember the tears shed in my longing for a skateboard as a child. In the 90s, skateboarding was the epitome of luxury for me, as acquiring one meant importing it from abroad to Indonesia.
Skateboarding taught me invaluable lessons about life: resilience after setbacks, discipline, and the appreciation of the process in mastering tricks, among others.
It has been a journey filled with mental growth, camaraderie, and a worldly knowledge. Hence, to commemorate my 38th birthday on April 19th, I chose to contemplate by skateboarding-a passion I've cherished since childhood-to express gratitude for all it has bestowed upon me.
