ScoreMarker Pro - wood burning effect

Technique Tuesday - Score Marker Pro and Cricut Stencil Vinyl
Cricut files used were #M3A2C58B4 (include the # in your search bar) and M3C4993A3 (leopard print)
Steps:
1. order pen from Amazon a.co/d/4slGCFB
2. order wood blanks www.upsydaisydesignstudio.com
3. sand wood with #220 grit sandpaper
4. cut stencil using your Cricut and some Stencil Vinyl (purple mat, fine point blade and material is Stencil Vinyl)
5. shake pen before using, use a paper towel on the bullet end to get the purple into the tip of the pen. Be careful with the other end (watch video)
apply stencil. Make sure you press it down VERY well
6. apply the score marker
7. REMOVE THE STENCIL VINYL
8. use a heat gun to darker the ink from purple to burned wood. Make sure you do this on a heat proof surface (don't do what I did)
9. move the heat source around to avoid burning one area
the more you heat the darker the color will be
10. when done seal with something like Krylon Triple thick (spray can)
Yes, you can also use this technique on wood slices to make coasters or ornaments.
