Well i personally think such comments don't really make sense to me because the team needs more points to secure at least 2nd or 3rd place in the Constructors Championship. I'm puzzled about not wanting to reveal to other teams if updates are on their way. I'd have thought all teams would be bringing updates when they are finished regardless of other teams. They aren't going to leave it on the shelf and go "Oh look Merc are bringing an update next week, do you think we should bring that dusty part that'll make us quicker?"
Think it's more about the type of upgrades, so if Mercedes are bringing updates to improve their mechanical grip instead of aero for example, they don't want others to change their focus as well as Mercedes could think that would be more useful for tracks coming up. Could be completely wrong though lol
Mercedes needs a driver overhaul. They already have some engineers incoming. Max and Kimi would really take the team back to the top in 2026. A proven 4 x Champion and a young gun. George need to go to Aston Martin. Much better fit for him. They (AM) might just have a BrawnGP moment in 2026.

He got a very good start for his first phase away from the grid box, but on His 2nd phase it felt like he didn't have the power, like it dropped in power for a bit, then he was surrounded by Ferrari's.

By signing Russel and Resigning James Allison Mercedes guaranteed the best 👌 pair ever. When Russel manages to put it in pole like in Canada and despite having the fastest car, he loses to Max. When Russel is quick enough to take the lead in Spain. It's just good enough to let Max 😌 overtake him, while putting up a masterclass defense against Lando,.... all of that to allow Verspatten to win 🏆 😉 the race. What a champ 🏆 👏🏾 🙌 Mercedes has found. And just like Jamy Allison, when things go wrong... there is always a way to find a scapegoat in the person of Lewis Hamilton 😀 🙌 or Mike Elliot. .
