Wow, this video took forever! People have been requesting this for ages and I've seen others make PMVs of this musical. So I finally checked it out and WOW was it ever worth the hype! For those who don't know, "Six" is a sort of rock musical about the six wives of Henry the VIII of England. Definitely fit that there are six performers and a Mane Six. I debated on whether to use humans or ponies for this set, and considering who I would have for Henry, I ultimately decided on ponies, even though the rock scenes from Equestria Girls might've been good in this number. The cast was decided based on the nature of their songs and not so much how they were historically.
Cast:
Catherine of Aragon - Applejack (honest, steadfast, and stubborn)
Anne Boleyn - Pinkie Pie (just wants to have fun)
Jane Seymour - Fluttershy (sweet, gentle, saw the good in the King)
Anna of Cleves - Rainbow Dash (a bit braggy with great confidence)
Katherine Howard - Rarity (flirty habit and has had a lot of men interested in her)
Catherine Parr - Twilight Sparkle (got the group together, is a writer and supporter of female education)
Henry VIII - Discord (I know he's technically not a character in the musical, but I needed someone for the songs, and what other self-absorbed male has scenes with all six of these characters?)

Katherine Howard’s voice coming out of Rarity’s mouth just works perfectly and I can’t explain why.

Just a guess here but I'm going to say (based on my own cast):
Applejack as Catherine of Aragon (AJ is incredibly loyal to her family despite tines where they do bad things or hurt her, like Catherine of Aragon was to Henry).
Rarity as Anne Boleyn (her rivalry with Applejack parallels the rivalry between Anne Boleyn and Catherine of Aragon in the musical and in real life.)
Fluttershy as Jane Seymour (obvious really)
Rainbow as Anna of Cleves (a badass character, who is very independent and wouldn't really stress about what happened as long as she ends up on top somehow).
Pinkie Pie as Katherine Howard (due to their naivety, they're very easy to be taken advantage off, and they both mask their problems by going to extremes in their personalities. Also both very 'childish', since Katherine WAS a child and Pinkie Pie just so that way).
Twilight as Catherine Parr (a writer who fights for equality and brings the group together).
I love you cast i love the idea of pinkie pie be katherine howard .

Ok, here's my theory on whos who based on personality and the elements of harmony:
Rainbow Dash = Catherine of Aragon (they're both pretty much badasses known for their loyalty)
Pinkie Pie = Anne Boleyn (both wanna have fun)
Fluttershy = Jane Seymour (both are kind (jane saw the good in the king))
Apple Jack = Anne of Cleves (both are honest (anne was honest about how she lived and was like "im pretty content with life"))
Rarity = Katherine Howard (both are known for their giving nature ("tell me what you need, you don't need to plead"))
Twilight Sparkle = Catherine Parr (They love of books, encourage others to read, and brought the group together)
Hope my theory is correct but still happy to see whats in store! 🤗

I agree with the cast especially on Fluttershy as Jane Seymour because not only am I a fluttercord shipper but also there are probably more fanfics and fan arts of this ship than any other, hence the line “Jane Seymour, the only one he truly loved” because it’s true.
I think it’s funny that Discord is King Henry, because he’s a beanpole and Henry was fat. 😂
Henry was originally a very strapping young man but he had a jousting accident which ended up with a very serious leg problem leading him to become overweight and had difficulty moving around

Hmm… you could use their human forms for “Haus of Holbein”
For the kids (well Mary and Edward because they are the only ones mentioned in their mothers songs) you could use Apple bloom for Mary a pound cake or baby spike for Edward.
I didn’t release you used pound cake for Edward. Plus the “I broke England from the church,” bit were you showed the pinkie clones breaking the Apple family barn was prefect timing.

Yeah, I knew Discord was going to be Henry as soon as I saw that Fluttershy was Jane Seymour. But considering his shenanigans, it's perfect!

Another pony musical idea idea is Rent! Spike is mark, Maureen is Rarity, Joanne is Applejack, Rainbow Dash is Roger, Fluttershy is Mimi, Pinkie is Angel and Twilight is Collins! Starlight can be Benny :) just an idea but ever since watching your pony musical stuff, I imagine every musical I watch as ponies
woah with discord as henry flutter shy and twilights are so perfect "the only one he truly loved" and "I saw him to the end of his life" fit so well but the others fit good too. although when I saw RD I immediately thought of that outfit from sparkles 7.

You know its funny I was just watching all the six animatics and thought back to my brony days and wondered, "Hmm has disneyfanatic done this musical?" looked you up and you are doing so ^^. You put the Queens just where I'd put them. For anyone saying that Applejack and Rainbow should switch let me clarify something.
Anne of Cleves was by no means a regal woman, she swore like a sailor and boldly proclaimed the reason that they didn't consummate was due to Henry's "inadequacy" in bed. Of course he could do nothing to her given he married her to create an alliance with her brother. That is way more Rainbow's style if you ask me then Applejacks.
Though funny thing is that the musical depicts Anne being so upset about these events, in reality when Henry wanted to divorce, Anne showed no resistance at all. She didn't care about being a Queen Consort, so Henry gave her the huge settlement. After the divorce they became really good friends, giving her the official title of "The King's Beloved Sister", and he was just that grateful that Anne made it easy for him to divorce her and decreed that she would be given precedence over all women in England save his own wife and daughters.
