What I don't understand is why copyrighted works extend 50 years after the composers death; they wrote it, no one else did. The family shouldn't have any say in who can use the works because they didn't write it.
So the idea was that you could build up a legacy of works like someone could build a company and hand it off to their kids. At least that was the excuse. The reality was Disney didn't want to lose control of Mickey Mouse.

@@golvic1436 That's thinking the kids will care and are talented enough to continue the legacy. In other words, it was flawed from the beginning.
I don't like clicky sounds in the editing
